Champions looks to static, like there's no real physics in the game. I liked that in dcu you can throw people down the street, and kick them off rooftops. Campions combat system reminds of the static fighting in Wow.
LOL dude you need to check out some other videos or interviews or something about champions they are completely opposite from static fighting like wow and are all about the action and there are plenty of physics in the game I'm not sure what game you're looking at but I see knocking people back in champions picking up objects etc etc and from what I've seen of either game champions is much more polished than DCU and keep in mind I have no console preference I am purely a PC guy.
I must say this made me laugh. But yes, Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) will screw up DC Universe (DCU) just like they destroyed Star Wars Galaxies (SWG).
It looks like you can pick up, manipulate, and destroy objects. That's something that seems key in superhero games that was missing from City of Heroes. Now if they make sure there's decent content, they'll avoid another horrible failing of CoH.
I described two significant "failings" of CoH, i.e. shortcomings of the game that make it less desirable than it otherwise would be without such failings. It's an opinion, of course. I didn't say the game overall had failed economically. Obviously people are still playing it. I quit because it seems horribly redundant and lacks sufficient content, again an opinion.
Plenty of superheroes need loot. It's not that uncommon in Marvel or DC to scavenge technology from enemies.
Not that it should be handled in a WoW manner, but still. If a superhero comes across some hardcore technology (or magic or whatever) with plenty of potential, he'd have to be stupid to pass it up.
One of the other videos Jack Emmert mentions that alot of the animations still need improved on because its still in alpha, he gave super speed as an example so this will likely change. (I hope because i agree with you.) However i do believe that is super speed, just a very rough version. Super jump is looking cool if you haven't seen it yet. Also i dont really care much for how the characters run in general, looks like they are marching. Haha runs like lou ferrigno from the Hulk tv show.

im think it may be a minor rush, to boost the speed of the character, i dont think they would make super speed so slow or that cheap looking :P
