The sub base is #411 limestone, compacted every 2 inches. The leveling base is #10 limestone screening. If you watch our Brick Patio Installation video, the putting green base is installed in the exact same way.
The green is held down by the weight of the coal slag infill that is "swept" in between the blades of the green. You use approximately 13 pounds per square foot of green.
That's an excellent point. Due to size restraints we made this green level. To make an undulating green, add additional limestone screening in 2" increments and tamp until you reach the desired effect. The limestone must be fully compacted before rolling out the green. what if you DONT want the green level?
most greens on a corse are slanted.
how do you sim that natural effect?
