Its a shame that we don´t get more games like this sure CGI cutscenes are great and all, but i just miss the live action part plus a good space sim/action rpg are few.

This is the first game I bought with my own money for ps1. there was a mission on the third or fourth disc that would freeze up if I aced it. I had to complete my objectives, and just as I was about to land I would eject. Had to get yelled at just to beat the game. Wish I could play it again, the space flight combat was awesome.

The game is now available for sale on GOG. It includes these videos I think, and it is compatible with XP, Vista and 7.

to bad the version of the game I have isn't compatible with my computer. if only there was a way to play it again. right now the only way I can think of is getting the 3do version. does anyone have any other ideas?

@Arthus850 Which version do you have? If it's the DOS version, then DOSBox ought to set you up.

@Arthus850 GOG is working on WC 1-3 and Righteous Fire (they already have Privateer up), just give them a bit of time.

@Arthus850 I maintain an early 2000's computer, just for games like this. They don' t cost the earth and Amazon has plenty of replacement parts. You could probably get one just like it for a couple hundred bucks max. Buy win98, put it on and install your favorite games from the 90's. Wing commander 3, 4, Prophecy, Gothic, Drakhan, they'll all run just fine. rod

PS: you may need a different mouse but the keyboard and monitor should be interchangeable. Good luck!

Wow, this takes me back. I remember the struggle to find a PC powerful enough back then which would run VFW (Video For Windows) fast enough to play this clip smoothly.

I think they stuck this on a magazine CD too?
