I will give that state credit, but Texas and Louisiana after living in Lake Charles LA, they talk a good talk, and really don't walk the walk. It was over his being screwed by the rich of Massachusetts that expected the rural residents and farmers to foot the bill with forced confiscations of their property, livestock, and possessions after not getting paid in the Continental Army. The rich on the other hand did not contribute one cent to pay off the debts. How's that?

Farmers with Land could borrow seeds and supplies from the Merchants and repay their loans with the harvest proceeds later {they did not get well paid for militia service prior} Independent people were broke, no real govnt yet. Kings financial system still in place. Farmers suffering poor harvests if any found themselves in debt to merchants and Governor Bowdin raising taxes on land { secure collateral}

A lot of farmers in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont encountered the same thing and filled the debtors' prisons as well. Each state were printing their own currencies at this time, but it was not readily accepted not only out of state, but also by merchants in state. So even if they tried to pay off their debts they could not.

The Constitution isn't perfect, not even close. In fact it's a very flawed document, and does little for guaranteeing rights. The rights conservatives think the Constitution guarantees have been won and guaranteed by mass social movements of liberal thinking, and court decisions.

Boycott the courts; boycott CCW (unless you want to be in the same position as the auto registration / tyranny against right of travel/to move about). Boycott and demand change in your state. His first minute is the key. There is no one protecting the country whose professions are supposed to do just that (judges, BAR, etc). If you cite the Constitution in court they will deem you an enemy and/or a nut. They literally laugh at you. Statutory laws (unlawful ones especially) are the only thing they cite; nor do they follow the stats set up to balance the scales. In fact, most verdicts are pre-decided as to how the parties liars act. Money lines pockets top to bottom.

The computerized voting machines were proven to have recorded votes wrong in other districts as well. That was a major felony and both got away with it free and clear.

@1108chuck I don't understand why that is so hard. It is a very good book. It has been my favorite since 7th grade and I am 36 in 13 days. I don't read much anymore, but I would make the time for it in a heartbeat. The movie does not really show or allow for someone to feel the feelings of Winston or his love interest Julia, how their risking everything, including their lives, and that I am afraid will not truly allow for Orwell's message to be understood fully.

@FairEnterprise New Hampshire is one hot bed for reestablishing the Republic. Check out the Freestater movement. Basically it is a movement of people migrating here and exercising their rights under both the US Constitution and NH State Constitution. They do things like legally open carry to show they value their Second Amendment rights while doing things like cleaning trash off the streets of cities like Manchester. I am a New Englander and NH boy born and bred and we will not roll over!

I will give that state credit, but Texas and Louisiana after living in Lake Charles LA, they talk a good talk, and really don't walk the walk. It is because the police and sheriffs have beaten them into submission. When I moved there from NH for work, I was the only one who had the balls to stand up to them and because of it, they left me alone while harassing locals. I figured I would be the one harassed because of it.

@FairEnterprise Ohhhhh..lol. Well I actually know a guy named Danial Shay so it threw me for a loop and lost historical context sorry. I know of Daniel Shays' rebellion. It was over his being screwed by the rich of Massachusetts that expected the rural residents and farmers to foot the bill with forced confiscations of their property, livestock, and possessions after not getting paid in the Continental Army. The rich on the other hand did not contribute one cent to pay off the debts. How's that?

Farmers with Land could borrow seeds and supplies from the Merchants and repay their loans with the harvest proceeds later {they did not get well paid for militia service prior} Independent people were broke, no real govnt yet. Kings financial system still in place. Farmers suffering poor harvests if any found themselves in debt to merchants and Governor Bowdin raising taxes on land { secure collateral}

@FairEnterprise I know these were all factors to Shays Rebellion, but I had limited space so I did the Cliff Notes version..lol. A lot of farmers in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont encountered the same thing and filled the debtors' prisons as well. Each state were printing their own currencies at this time, but it was not readily accepted not only out of state, but also by merchants in state. So even if they tried to pay off their debts they could not.

The farmers found they were being sent to debtors prison for not paying higher taxes on land not producing enough due to logistics and seasonal issues and merchants cuts. Politicians in Pennsylvania arguing about form of govnt. and how to pay for war with what type of currency.
Many were calling for a fiat/paper money. Farmers got together and told the circuit courts Judge He could not enter

I agree totally with what they did. Where they were not being represented while the wealthy in Boston were being catered to could only lead to what happened and I agree with what they did.

The Constitution isn't perfect, not even close. In fact it's a very flawed document, and does little for guaranteeing rights. The rights conservatives think the Constitution guarantees have been won and guaranteed by mass social movements of liberal thinking, and court decisions.
We could write a much better document more appropriate for dealing with the modern society.

@wwwjhwhbe I don't think a document written by one person is of any value. A document voted on over years of genuine democratic convention and nationalism can only work. So we need to have a real constitutional convention, where average citizens take part in the process in rotating cycles until a balanced document is drawn up.
Unlike the old Conventions of rich white land owners, the new Convention would need be all inclusive. With representatives from all sectors of the population and country

Right or wrong that makes it right. I propose you use my Constitution to organize your Convention, to make sure it is really democratic rather then run by loud-mouths. @youngbuck189 Here you find a scheme to implement your convention: law4 org / revolution scroll down a bit you will see a picture reading 'standard rule' You can use that for conventions up to 75,000 persons. Go to the root of that site and click constitution, there you'll see the whole range of Government, you can use that for a convention of up to 30,000,000 persons. The model is only meant for those sizes because larger nothing will work it will be another disastrous empire.

@youngbuck189 I hate to break it to you but you need to do some research on what you are trying to seem knowledgeable. Constitutional conventions are held for all registered voters to take part in. How they work is the people are given the proposed amendment to vote on, they do just that, then the state ratifies according to the people's votes, and then it is sent back to Washington ratified or shot down. You prove how ignorant most Americans are, no offense.
