You make a great point. There was a time where I didn't understand how animal lovers could care and love their pet at times much more than a human being, but you know what? A pet or animal's love is pure without any strings attached. When you are dealing with humans, more so that not we play alot of emotional games, but animals don't - they either love you or they don't. Now, this animal is a wild animal..one of the most dang. animals, but look at how loving and affectionate he is to these men.

Okay, that's all true. But the thing is, animals don't have the mindpower that humans have. They don't KNOW how to lie for example, they just can't do it.If they could, they would. They kill to eat, not because they hate an other animal. But again, their brain doesn't know how to hate. It doesn't make them better than us, only different.

man Im still crying when I watch this. How could they leave him arrgghhh It was so wrong. He was the most lovable animal there must have been a better option, it kills me.... He loved Ace so much and I have seen recent interviews with the 2 guys and my instincts tell me Ace still hurts,again how could thye leave. He was left alone, no boy, no ace or john and not intinct to want to fight...and peopel think he lived a happy life????

this has also effected my life, I cry over and over again, I think about it so much, Do you think he was too tamed to be out back in the wild? I keep thinking he would have loved to stay with ace and john. I hate to think he had a hard life in the wild as he thought he was a little human and maybe wondered why they left him. I think Ace and John are wonderful. back then and today. What an amzing experience. I wonder if they have any regrets and do they think of him every day

@taliasalia Hi! I think Ace and John did the right thing. They didn't want Christian to end up in a circus or in a zoo. We'll never know what happened with Christian. Perhaps he led a happy life in the wild or perhaps it was short-termed. Life is not guaranteed anywhere much less in the wild. Christian is all gone by now but certain beings do not totally die. Not even death can kill them. Christian lives in us all. I hope this can put a smile on your face. Regards

In my viewpoint it's a story of love but in a larger sense one of respect and decency. Ace and John did the best they could to give Christian a better life without sacrifying Christian's lion nature. They went to great lengths in heir commitment to Christian's welfare . This helped me to come to terms with the sad side and anguish of this story. Regards. Horace
