Find out if the DVR is a new box, sometimes and most of the time the cable company will installed a used converter with a possible Hard drive problem. If it's not the converter, The cable tech must check every connector and lines in the apt to the main source. Have the tech run a test cable to make sure your lines are fine.

I've had the same problems everyone else has had with their phone and internet going out. I've complained for months, and finally JUSTICE!!
Today TimeWarner wiped out my $580 dollar past due bill and gave me 3 months of phone service for free.
