ok so i heard this show got cancelled after the 3rd season? but when i checked HBO to watch it it only showed season 1 and a couple episodes of season2..but it said the newest episode in season 2 just came out this week...could someone explain to me whats going on here? im so confused..

@1amRy4n The show was indeed cancelled after the end of the 3rd season. It was also left "unfinished" as a series although there was an ending to the 3rd season. Shame too as it was such incredible television.

i've never seen this show before but ordered the complete boxset to try and fill the hole left by finishing the sopranos eventually...this trailer is the first footage i've ever seen and i'm already intrigued!

@Charlie135i There was a miniseries called "Into The West" which was basically about a pioneer family through different generations through the forging of America in the west. It wasn't as good as "Deadwood" but it was still pretty interesting.

And there's the Ken Burns documentary, "The West", which was amazing, and is about the history of the American West from the early Spanish settlers all the way up to the end of the 1800's.

None of it is really "wild" west though.

@Charlie135i its not really wild west but its wild west in space. Think cowboys/vigilantes with a spaceship on the outer rim of civilization, sort of like frontiersman. its called Firefly. only one season sadly but it concludes with a movie, watch that last.

If you haven't found it already, there is an outstanding series called 'Lonesome Dove'.

It was made in the late eighties or early nineties. It is amazing. It starts Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones. It has been praised as one of the best Westerns of all time. Check it out.

It's so good. Especially the first two series (the final one was a bit of a disappointment since they found out halfway through that they were being cancelled). Still better than literally anything that's on now though, including Mad Men.
