@djwinger2003 I wasn't thinking it would be that much but $120 is a reasonable amount for what it can do. Try finding an HD webcam for less than $100, last I checked it's pretty hard. Add an HD camera, IR emitter, hardware and software and you have something that's easily over $100 unless microsoft decides to sell it for less than it's worth, in which case devs will have to pay royalties perhaps?

@ExploringBeyond Yeah I think $100-$120 is probably around the price it will be. There's also a possibility that it could be as low as $75. The reason being that Microsoft has decided to utilise one of the 360's processors instead of giving Natal its own. This will greatly reduce the cost and hopefully attract more customers to buy it. It's a good idea since most of the money will be made from buying games; not the hardware.

I think its funny how Microsoft is getting a bunch of famous people, who probably are not tech savvy enough to know how something like this is being "portrayed" to work. Most of them probably never played a video game before, let alone know what motion sensing is. These videos are just marketing attempts, purely. Plus, why not constantly show the screen? is it to hide the lag? nothings wrong with the lag, but dont act like it doesn't exist by hiding it haha. Most cameras have lag.

Sony had motion before wii, thats a fact. Wiki/google it. ;) Gamers will play with the controllers anyways, this is simply an option, its not something you have to go for. IF you want quality you choose the controller, if you want to work of some fat in a game that probably will bore you after 2 hours, you choose natal.
