  • Tgis was...fuckong dumb

  • @DrTheKay You can't spell, and I'm the dumb one?

  • @MrBillTroop73

pretty sure that was his point, the fact you couldn't pick that up really does make you a f*cking idiot =)

  • @saikouze1 The fact that you are not intelligent enough pick up on sarcasm makes you dumber than him. Have a nice day!

  • Wtf is this shit? Is this martial art or circus?!

  • @BaltasarHoffman Your inability to read the description, and swift decent into profanity shows your extreme lack of intelect and self esteem. Apparently you Russians couldn't even win a cold war, let alone a hot one, and thus you are completely incapable of being able to judge anyone elses fighting ability.

But, of course, you must falsely bluster to make up for your weakness.

  • @MrBillTroop73

    You're one stupid fucking hypocrite

  • @GENERAL1002 all you are capable of is using profanity, and I'm the "stupid" one?

  • @MrBillTroop73 yes

  • @de11000 Thank you for agreeing with me! I greatly appreciate your support!

  • I'm terrified of using nunchuku since I watched a friend bean himself with them when we were kids, my reasoning at the time being that his co-ordination was far better than mine, my shihan wants to teach me, but has trouble getting me to drop my fear of the things, any way of easing into this?

  • @psychedashell I don't know what you have attempted so far, but I can tell you that I had the same feeling you have now, and if I can learn it, you can too.

You might start with your grip. The closer to the swivel end I hold it, the more control, but less power there is. I did nothing but "figure 8's" for many weeks, building up speed and direction changes. When I felt comfortable with that, attempted the underarm catches.

  • @MrBillTroop73 Sounds like a plan. I just noticed you're a scout leader, bit of coincidence since a venturer leader got me into karate. Salute to scoutmasters who practice martial arts!

  • @psychedashell try using foam nunchucks to start off (you can even buy them online). even if you hit yourself with those, it wont hurt at all. that should eliminate a lot of the fear of hurting yourself. once you feel comfortable with those, use a wood pair and take it slow. theres no need to do things fast right away. hope this helps.

  • @ChristianVido Thanks, I'll look into those!

  • @psychedashell

Well I believe they sell foam padded nunchuku, not sure if they hurt or not but it should be good for practice.

  • @EastAustraliaCurrent Thanks, actually I got myself a set about two weeks ago, they feel strange compared to normal ones, much lighter and thicker, but I'm making progress with them.

  • What's the sword guy saying @ 0:54 ? "Yeah, you with the... (what?)" ?

  • @AngelosInside "Yeah, you with the "cheeco sticks"! A phrase we have heard many times from uneducated youth in the old days referring to their previous uneducated generation using the phrase "choco chicks", which, of course, was bastardized from the correct; "Nunchaku"

  • @MrBillTroop73 thanks! :)

  • So fun to watch.Thank you for the post!!

  • @Midnighthour71 Thank you for watching!

  • Wow!! the girls loved it! thank you for sharing and gave Adara your piece of advice. Thank you!!

  • @RestrainedNoMore Thanks for visiting. I'm glad they enjoyed it!

  • Instead of hitting him in the back and the legs, i think nut shots would just be alot easier, one hit and he'd be completely done.. lol

  • @AlexGrambergChannel Actually, if you watch closely, all hits were to actual targets, such as ribs, groin, face, spine, etc.

  • @muker123 Thank you! We had a lot of fun performing it!

  • i love it.

  • @Cidantis Thank you!

  • @MrBillTroop73 thank YOU, sir

  • Super gay.

  • @SpeedoJoe Your need to put others down shows your extreme lack of physical ability and loss of self esteem. I feel sorry for you, and pitty you. Have a nice day.

  • @DiSoNeNcBoI so can be the nunchuks. one deadly element of the nunchuks is that when you swing them, you fool the enemy by making him think you are attacking and when you really do attack, he wont see that comming.

  • Thank you, we sure had fun doing it!

  • theoretically nunchuks can defeat a sword but you have to be skilled

  • exactly!

  • ...and the swordsman should be completely unskilled...

  • wong, but thanks for commenting.

  • @MrBillTroop73 the swordsman is untrained with those wild swings

  • @freesemag Actually, he is so highly skilled that he was able to make it look wild just for our demo.

  • Fantastic..!

  • Thank you!

We had a great time putting this together.

  • great video .thanks

    5* * * * *

  • Thank you!

  • lol good stuff

  • Thank you very much!

  • nice coriagraphy

  • Thank you. It was a lot of work to put that together without anyone actually getting hurt

  • Nice! Pretty good demonstration. Smooth techniques.

  • Thank you very much. I was much younger then

    LOL

  • hahaha... funny

  • the thing is...as soon as you hit..sure theres a smack BUT, is there a knock out?

  • The thing is...it depends on where you hit

  • @phylyo Trust me, a good hit to the head with solid HARDWOOD nunchaku (not light wood "speed chucks") and you will be out cold, or at least severely incapacitated, leaving you open for more deadly strikes.

Real nunchaku are so hard and dense it's like swinging a brick on a chain.

On top of that, the whipping action of it gives it an intense sting which can stun opponents.

It is a deceptively effective weapon.

  • BINGO!!!

  • Great video! Especially considering its age :)

  • @pjsmetana lol yeah. Well it's not like they weren't human back in 1988.

  • i actually put to developed a weapon similar to the chucks so i always watch these vids to see how i can add those skills to my weapon.

great demo by the way pretty comical

  • Thank you. I am glad that you enjoyed it.

  • The demonstration is very good! But in real life, if a opponents come up to you with a sword that long, you would better say sorry. Even if you could beat him (yea, you could) what he might bring next T^T...

  • Thank you for your compliments!

Yes, it is true that it is very difficult for ancient weapons to defend against modern weapons.

We do the best we can, where we are, with what we have.

  • in reality a sword would pawn a nunchuk

  • In reality, it would depend on the skill of the swordman.

  • Not at all. Nunchaku, Staff, Tonfa, Sai, and several others were all developed by the Okinawans to fight against the sword. I believe it was Fumio Demura who first released the forms in a book form in the USA. For a long time, Demura received some very mixed attention from Nihonjin for doing so.

  • Then why are there no official Katas for Nunchaku, where there are for Staff, Tonfa, Sai, Katana, and so on?

  • go go Bill the Chucker

  • LOL, Thank you very much!

    Bill

  • Terrific Video 5*****

  • Thank you very much!

    Bill

  • Whoa! That was awesome!! MAJOR RESPECT!!

    :D noellia

  • Thank you Noie!

    Bill

  • Hey Bill,

Remind me not to get you angry!! Nice demo My friend. 5/5 for the video & 5/5 for your demo partner, LOL. ED

  • LOL, well, "anger management" is a new-age name for part of an ancient way of life.

    Thank you my friend,

    Bill

  • Damn Bill! Very very cool! Those were so popular back in the 80's Everyone had a set it seemed but not many could use them. I think I will stick to my pistol, rifle and KaBar.

  • Thank you very much. I remember lots of people tying stool legs with cord to use as make-shift nunchaku.

During practice, wooden nunchaku just wouldnt last, so I chained together two steel pipes and wrapped them in a thin layer of foam to help protect my opponent.

    Bill
