i'm not sure what the tuning is but kelli doesn't use a lot of standard/open tunings, so i doubt it's open D. plus from what i can hear the top string is tuned to C#, not D.

Just caught Kelli on KPFK radio in LA. Now I see the technigue and am blown away. In a private show for actors only I once saw Theodore Bikel play with abundant taps to the guitar body. Bikel was great.
Kelli has the stronger technique.

*nods* Third Ear indeed. I'm so happy to see more vids of Kelli playing! It's really interesting to see just HOW the song's played. It's pretty mind blowing to see the full technicallity of it.
And to think I could have seen her play live a few months ago but couldn't make it at the last minute. :(
