I've been with C&C since Tiberian Dawn, and this game, for whatever it's worth, has nailed the atmosphere, soundscape and overall design of that universe. It's not meant to replace the 5th entry. Do not assume the ignorance in others as a means of justifying your unfounded opinion.
@adalwolf12 As far as I can tell from my limited experience in the beta, research, upgrading and building/training is instant, but your offensive options are limited by the number of command points which regenerate equally for every player (meaning, you can perform ~24 assaults per day, depending on how far away the target outposts/bases/camps are (10 CP to attack, +1 for each field between you and the target)).
Hope that sated your curiosity. The game is getting all this hate for no reason.
Well I think this game is good after all. I expected a bullshit but this is not bad. But one of bad things I hate about it is because it use alot of memory. I don't know how about other but it take on my computer like 1400000k and still laggy.
2. Other than C&C4 which was just a Chinese variation of C&C3 with a single-player slapped on EA's C&Cs were pretty good. The subfactions of Kane's Wrath offered a ton of replayability and RA3's every-unit-special-ability system and emphasis on naval combat made it a revolutionary RTS, let along C&C.
3. If it wasn't for EA Westwood would have stopped at TibSun (they had major financial issues). Stop bitching.
I've been in the closed beta since day 1. The devs have been making the game worse with every patch. It was nice in the beginning but it's current state is pure s**t.
but how will alliance works? will it limited to the members of the same faction? or will it be open to the difference factions? (ie. an alliance led by a corrupt GDI commander and crewed by several Nod princes)
As an avid member of the Tiberium Alliances closed beta I can tell you the game is far better than your expectations: the gameplay is solid, intuitive and very addicting. What is possibly the best part about this is that it's completely free, so you really can't bitch about it.

This game is kinda great for what it is: Sure, it's not a deep RTS experience, it's not meant to be, but it sure as hell still has some strategy and countering units and structures involved.
For a Free-2-play browser game, it's the best I've ever seen. The Beta is solid (Minor gripes while using Chrome), mechanics are, for the most part, really good, and the units are recognizeable in purpose.

We can all agree Tib Twilight was bad. But this game is free and sticks more to the roots...minus you know...all the other stuff.

As an avid member of the Tiberium Alliances closed beta I can tell you the game is far better than your expectations: the gameplay is solid, intuitive and very addicting. What is possibly the best part about this is that it's completely free, so you really can't bitch about it.

This game is kinda great for what it is: Sure, it's not a deep RTS experience, it's not meant to be, but it sure as hell still has some strategy and countering units and structures involved.
For a Free-2-play browser game, it's the best I've ever seen. The Beta is solid (Minor gripes while using Chrome), mechanics are, for the most part, really good, and the units are recognizeable in purpose.
All this blind, ignorant hate is painful to read...

@sevevouga This isn't a sequel to C&C3 or C&C4. That sequel will be made by BioWare victory after they finish Generals 2. Those are the people responsible for the C&C franchise. The studio making Alliances isn't affiliated with them and cannot do anything other than their own free-to-play games that they usually make.
