I was very upset when my Irish friend started sending me vindictive letters accusing me of being an IRA member all over the envelope and the letters were delayed in the post for several weeks. I'm a quiet English female & my friend is diagnosed as mentally ill, so I forgave him, but his stupidity could have put me on an intelligence watch list & I've nothing to do with the IRA whatsoever, I'm just for Irish independance. I complained to the Irish mental health & his father but nothing was done.

I'm English & I've a friend who moved back to the R.O.I. who puts flags of the Queen & the Union Jack up in his home & writes to me on postcards of the Queen. I hate royalty. 2 of my uncles have moved to Belfast & married into Irish families & I'm fully read up on Irish history since I was a child -- very different to the propaganda taught in school.
