okay guys seriously this is crap,

when you shoot a gun, the gun doesnt go up like in this video, it goes back

the flare is too smal

and the light is not realistic at all

I think shells are a bit fast and you should lighten your face, arms etc. seperately.Try masking

ok, not great, but ok. muzzle flashes should be somewhat altered per shot, its an explosion out of the tip of the gun, so it should never look the same. blow back is great, but needs slight blurring. if not, it looks like a black solid on top of your picture. The only thing that saved you from a cheap looking solid is your camera quality and youtube combined. everything could use some improvement, but really, what couldnt? for what your trying to do, its great! keep it up!

Excellent; probably one of the very few really good "indie" gunshot effects I've seen. I think increasing the lightness across the entire screen with each gunshot is a bit much (muzzle flashes on real guns are actually very subtle), but you nailed the slide blowing back. Great alternative to gas powered bb or blank-firing guns. The only thing that stands out is that the muzzle flare is the same shape each time. I suggest using a very mild distortion effect or make new ones for each shot.

hey man thanks, this is probably the first test ive done with after effects so it is very imcomplete, if i wanted i could go bak n fix every detail but id rather not, i myself am a huge gun fan n i know all the stuff ive done wrong but that was jus a trial, thank for the constructive comment

Don't know if you care for some critiques (you probably know this already)

You can make the bullets look more like they belong there by trying out some blending modes.

Also I may be mistaken but it doesn't look like theres any motion blur on the slide action. Added more of that can really make it look sharp, as well as mixing in just a tiny tiny bit of muzzle smoke

nice. i strongly suggest adding motion blur to the shell casings, and animating the gun kick back a little bit slower (also with motion blur added, the motion blue will make it look drastically more realistic) other-wise you have it down bro. (if you really really want to make it look pro, animate some extra lighting to yourself as the muzzle flashes progress) =]
