take that are and will always be the best band ever.great performance every each of them is so unique and talented.and this performance is just flawless and captivating.
Your comment was just an answer for another ridiculous comment (yeah even much more rubbish and untrue), but in my view trying to get back at REDRUMkostas you just said almost similar nonsense.
Look, I don't wan to argue with you, this isn't a personal attack at all. But it should be said- they are a real band, a real team this time around - not like in the 90s, because back then it was a Gary Barlow show and I won't deny it (in the 90s Gary was a brain and the voice of TT).
Interestingly on Progress Gary only sings on one track "Eight Letters". On most tacks lead vocals are shared between two members Robbie and Mark, or Robbie and Gary... ect. So your theory isn't good at all...I would say that Gary sings no more than on the half of their new material, and they all are involved in writing their songs.
Furthermore on BW album Mark sings three songs - "Hold On", "Shine","What You Believe In"
Howard sings on "Beautiful World" and "Mancunian Way" and Jay on "Wooden Boat"(which is a half of the songs on this LP)
The Circus: Mark on -"Hello", "Julie","Up All Night","Hold Up a Light", Howard on "What Is Love"and "Here" and Jay on "How Did It Come to This" and they all sings on "The Garden". Gary sings on four tracks. "Said it all" is sang by Gary and Mark
well, I still don't agree with your statement, because you downplayed the other three members to Gary's "backing dancers"and "backing singers". Unfortunately this is a common opinion on TT, that only Gary is talented and the other tree are talentless lucky beggars.
After reading your comment, someone unfamiliar with the band may conclude that Gary is THE ONLY "brain and voice"- and of course it isn't true.
Robbie has Mark's song-writing in high regard too. For example search for the interview - Strawberry FM. Robbie said: "I love lots of Mark's solo stuff. "How The Mighty Fall' album is absolutely amazing. There's loads of tunes on Mark stuff that people don't know about and I wish they did..."
So stop impute that Gary is the only "Brain" in the band, this is simply loads of bollocks!
continuation - what Gary said in the interview about Mark.
.... I had that link that I didn't have first time around. I thought - oh this is great...- 'cause his style is very different than mine and so we were good partners for each other. And it made room for Howard and Jay as well then.... It felt like a band for the firs time".
Robbies voice is so powerfull! He sings with so much energy and feel. No one is the leader of the band. They just try to do the best and have fun. I love this music !
Robbie is amazing...of course Gary has a lovely voice, and they are brilliant singing together, but without the spark of the it factor Robbie has, you have...dull...
The rest of Take That are nice guys, but Robbie is some kinda genius. I think technical skill pales to charisma and the ability to emote (just in my opinion...music is more about reaching people's hearts than hitting notes...) Plus he's a great singer! They all are...
Whenever Jason and Robbie look at each other during the songs, Jason always looks away. There is clearly a problem with Rob cos none of the others seem to have a problem with him. Hmmm...
@strongshoulders True, i have noticed it almost in all performances :S Hope its nothing serious.... atleast hope they wont break up before tour or something :P
@markspans you hit the nail in the head, I think Gary doesn't like have all the attention focused on him, but he is definitely much better singer than Rob
@markspans Well that's because, although Gary admittedly is the better singer in terms of hitting and holding the notes, Rob a) has a more exceptional and special voice and b) is the guy the people came to see, simply because much he's more entertaining.
Robbie looks really happy

lol, you're a deluded person.
4 piece TT was a democratic band with two main songwriters Gary and Mark.
Search for the video -Gary Barlow - BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass
He clearly said: "When I came back to the band, very quickly within couple of sessions I realised that I had a partner in Mark...

karvalal 1 year ago 4
@karvalal Agree totally! Rob does have charisma, and all very good, but its the music and songwriting that wins the (ivor novello) awards!
A musicians success isnt measured on his bank balance, and Rob knows that!
Love the fact that Rob is back in the band, but make no mistakes the band were MASSIVE without him anyway! Fact! ;)

Robbie has a higher voice recognition, and the charisma ... that's for sure.
