  • Very cool shot!

  • @EverywhereWest Thanks!

  • Now That Is Fast! Great Video

  • @thundercam96 Thanks! Do you remember hearing on the news in June of year 2011 a big rig truck T'boned an Amtrak train and killed the conductor and a number of passengers? Well this is the exact westbound train and location where that event took place. The big rig would have come from the right side of the screen and impacted the train right at this crossing.

  • @CoastStarlight11 All drivers should see this video as a lesson that you should always slow down and look, crossing gates or not. I think that he was trying to beat it and seriously misjudged the speed of the AMTRAK.

  • @NarodnieMstiteli Plus on high way 95 on both sides of the crossing at least a half mile away or more there are signs on the side of the road warning of a train crossing and there is lettering painted on the road warning of a train crossing ahead.

  • Ha ha, cool! The bells stopped and the horn was right on cue!

  • @ocrailfan Thanks!!!!

  • I wonder why one signal sounds one way, and the one on the other side sounds different.

  • @TspesVladD I have no idea

  • @TspesVladD They sound differently because the bells on the two signals are completely different, and thus they emit a different kind of sound from each other.

  • That the same crossing gates that Minneapolis MN has for the Hiyawatha Light Rail Line and there are traffic lights at every intersection of the line and i would

do a video with the crossing gates and preempting light white flashing light that is on the traffic lights that would be a cool video for me to do

  • Nice!!! Very interesting. That would make for an interesting video.

  • Very nice! I was recently on the Sunset Limited and as we raced across Texas, I thought how awesome we must look outside. And your video proved me right! 5 stars!

  • Thanks!!!!

  • Thats a great horn!!!

  • Thanks!!!

  • Is that the moter of you car cooling off? I can hear a clicking sound in the background.

  • That is actually the sound of the moter for the crossing arm that you are hearing, as the crossing lights flash they set off these circut breaker things in this box next to the track and you can hear them click.

  • Hey I like the way you got the truck and train in the vid. It really does a lot to represent the guys and gals out here that make America function by transporting people and freight across some of the most desolate places... TRAINS & TRUCKS WITHOUT EM AMERICA STOPS!

  • Thanks!!!! It is pure chance that the truck happened to drive by right as the crossing arms were about to lower so I decided to leave the truck in the shot.

  • Amtrack all the way man! Very nice.

  • Thanks!!!

  • very nice I have blown through there many times on this train but hell this area wouldnt even rate a second look LOL it says Ocala Nevada where is this near?

  • Thanks!!! Ocala, Nevada is right on High Way 95 about 20 miles west of Lovelock, Nevada.

  • @CoastStarlight11 cool thats where I figured it was

  • If you go to yahoo driving directions or google maps you can search for "Ocala, Nevada" and look at the map to get an idea exactly where this spot is located at.

  • Nice catch James

  • Thanks!!!
