@beep813 You have a sanity meter, whenever you look at weird shit in the game it builds up - making your screen go blurry or making your mouse controls drag. If it gets near max you'll collapse for a short while like in the vid ;D So the character must have been near breaking point when he bumped into the creature then.

@gamergirl122872 if you're curious as to why he cannot look at them it's because the game is made so if you look at the creature you get freaked out more and more(your character) until the point of passing out. passing out is pretty much the same as dying.

@tylerninja1997 actually, its weird, if they spot you, they attack you, and the lower your sanity, the easier it is for them to find you, and looking at monsters and being in darkness and other things lower your sanity, so yeah, um, yeah.

this game has an insanity level that raises when you notice something creepy or stay in complete darkness for too long. Seeing a monster makes your character freak out pretty fast and since Brad kept moving in the darkness without his lantern, the character was already freaked out so it didnt take much to make him go completely nuts and fall on the floor.
