Yeah, I really do love these early periods of Sonic Youth. I think this stuff is very underrated - Bad Moon Rising, Evol, Confusion Is Sex... the word is "love" for these albums. I definitely like the later stuff too, but I do feel this stuff is underappreciated.

Wow!!! Sonic Youth was so fucking radical at this time. So hypnotic, demented, subversive, and downright dangerous - and yet musical at the same time. They were so far ahead of their time. In fact, even to this day, the stuff they did in this period (20 years ago)is still way out ahead of what anyone is doing on guitars (or anything else for that matter even now.
