@Zacquads well i still cant sweep, and one night my friend got the bright idea for me to do that while he muted the strings at the head, and thats how i did it ever since.

@chris3ooo0 thank youu. well all i can really say, is just play along with songs, and just keep going till its right. like i said, youre bound to learn different techniques from different songs, if you play a lot of songs, and just watch different how-to videos wherever you can. for example, i learned octaves (those things that are like 5 on the a string, mute the d string, then 7 on the g string) from playing a skylit drive, i wanna say bmth exposed me to pinch harmonics, and i properly learned

them from a bunch of different videos. those dissonance things, like 9 on the g string and 6 on the b string, i learned those frommm uhh...i kiiiinda wanna say a skylit drive, or even vanna. i know it was really early. it couldnt have been attack attack though. i learned the lovely sound of the 101 chords from emmure, and also using natural harmonics in weird places, like the 3rd fret from them too. so i have kinda bastard skills. just taken from a shitload of things. which would probably be

everyones skills though now that i think about it. so just keep at it, play any songs you like, learn them, look up tabs, watch youtube covers and how-to videos, and how-to-play videos. =]
