Back then... in 1985.. and this would just be a guess... I would say that it was a simple flanger or chorus pedal not turned up too high. This seemed to be Peter Buck's "sound" around the time of Fables of the Reconstruction that seemed to get dumped around Pageant a year later for a more clean guitar sound.. JMO

Fantastic! You're welcome bud... I had a few flanger pedals back in the day... along with a few different delay pedals... one analog and one digital (at different times). Was always fun to try to emulate the sounds of my favorite guitarists.

Sounds silly, but Peter Buck taught me how to play guitar.

no silly at all.. i spent many hours playing through fables in my room-hence the name i got lol!! hes a great rythm player and as a single note picker hes definetly one of the best. im gonna put a vid up one day of me playing sumin off fables maybe good advices or kohoutek!!
