Yugoslavia was a crazy experiment that was the byproduct of 19th & 20th century nationalism, the troubles of Yugoslavia in my assessment began with the early shift towards"centralizing autocracy" with lack of regard for the self-governance & political autonomy of its constitute states,,Annexing trying to incorporate & integrate non-Yugoslavian regions was a huge mistake, Yugoslavia could have only worked under the Swiss model.

The number of Bosnian 'muslims' who died and suffered far exceeds the numbers killed and injured from other ethnic groups. Bosnian muslims were the explicit target of heavily armed Serbian and Croation militia's who wanted to carve up Bosnia for themselves.

This reality of the greater loss of life and suffering by the muslims at the hands of the christians should not be lost in any analysis of the details of the Bosnian war.

The USSAF bombers did the bombing of Dresden by day targetting trains and factories and at night, the RAF bombers just plastered the whole entire city of Dresden because it was believed to be a military target(which later turns out to be false). However the bombing of German and Japan did pave the way to victory in WW2. Germans had an intentional of committing genocide and the Allies had to do anything to win it.
