Unions use to stand for something, last probably few decades though that seems to have changed greatly and taken advantage of. if a union wants to protest that's fine. as long as it's on public area not on private property and not harassing employees or assaulting. If it can't be peaceful it shouldn't be allowed. A number of these guys have all been arrested for felony charges as of late. Protestors should not be going out causing harm to property or said people AT ANY TIME. BAD example!

I was on the picket lines a couple of times. I figured out that my right to association does not trump the property rights of anyone, even a corporation. When I started organizing organizied labour was 10% of the workforce, now it is 8%. Labour is in a Ghost Dance never to return to the old ways.

It's not the unions driving them out. Corporate structure, and the need for more efficient profit models motivate those decisions. It's the other way around. i have no problem with unions normally. i was a union member at one time. but now days the unions are not what they used to be. now days they are more like thugs.. the longshoremen for example went from civil disobediance which is fine to criminal disobediance which is not so much and using violence and using thug and gang-banger tactics is not civilized.
