@jjj7790 Quite the opposite, The Rat is clinging on to the of the Heron beak in order to keep it closed because the Rat knows that as soon as the beak is open (as you saw) he will be swallowed whole. Can't help but feel sorry for the Rat after such a brave and prolonged struggle. I think in the end, it was just too exhausted to fight :-(.

Look at the heron's eyes and posture. And we thought the dinosaurs were extinct. Birds are the living relatives of dinosaurs. Eagles are another great example that the T-Rex lives on.
