  • Oh leave them be, they are proud of their celtic roots. Having a bit of pride for one's heritage does no harm

  • @devinediety We are getting back our own Irish stuff, true Irish identity soon like the Leprechan with pointy curled shoes, green tights and cloak brat, gold seeking and flute playing which is true Irish identity, and it's getting more and more accepted as Ireland's true character again, which is good as it gets more popular again in Ireland, although the So called 'Irish' - Americans are still brainwashed beyond belief on complete utter bullshit, as it's always a Yank that uploads these videos.

  • @Calengela True, but understand that many Scots, Irish, and Welsh moved tot he US. I think you would be surprised to see how Americans appreciate the Scots/Irish and Welsh.

I, for one, am a healthy mix of Scottish, Irish, and touch of Welsh. There is not a day that goes by that I don't reminisce on my ancestors and what they did. I follow their true religion, respect their culture, and I LOVE my Guinness.

  • @Calengela I do believe as well that "Celt" is overrated in the US because Americans don't understand the word at all. Some of us do, and not all of us are "plastic paddie yanks". I may be an American citizen, but I am descended from Celts by blood right.

The way you guys talk, you'd never know that the UK and Ireland are our allies. You do realize that your computer is made of plastic, right?

Now, if you claim that the Scot,s Irish, and Welsh that moved here in the US "disgraced" their ...

  • @Calengela ... "mother nation", you're throwing dirt in their face. Members of the Gordon clan of Scotland along with the Dempseys and McClain of Ireland came over here, scratched a living in a time of ethnic persecution, and you say "despicable"?

    THEY ARE MY ANCESTORS.

True, it is unjust for the US to speak for Ireland in foreign affairs, but that's OUR politicians doing that, NOT the people. Heck, right now, the government doesn't give a rat's ass about the people.

  • @Calengela You'd better consider yourself lucky to live where you do. You can despise the US politics all you want - I support it - Obama is as much help to the US as a glass of water is to a drowning person. But that gives you no right to say the things you do about those of us who ARE Scottish and Irish descendents.

  • @Calengela We upload videos because we are fascinated by the Irish/Scottish culture - we want to learn more about our ancestors. We RESPECT you guys in the UK and Ireland - you obviously don't.

  • @devinediety I know, I'm Irish and I respect the Scots and all but I'm not jealous, I'm disappointed and annoyed with Ireland, claiming other nations things and re-branding them as Irish is despicable and very disrespectful, and we are hi-jacked by Plastic Paddie Yank foreigners from the Americas that speak on our affairs is annoying as fuck.

This needs to end, although things are looking up as we sever the so called 'special relationship' ties bollocks with the Yanks & become just equal nations

  • @TypingTreeFrog the word Whskey comes from Ireland, as does the drink. Tartan wasn't invented in Scotland it dates back thousands of years before to the Celts of Europe.

  • @MrThingy3 Tartan IS Scottish, and the 'Celts' are a bullshit term first made up in the mid 1800's to describe and group old language similarities, it was later hi-jacked by Irish republicans in the early 1900''s to link much more than just languages as one, that's way a lot of Irish try hard to link up with the Scots aided by the Jesuit controlled Irish Catholic national propaganda historical revisionism.

Whisky's Scottish, and it's spelt 'Whisky' not Whiskey you DUMB Plastic Paddie Yank wank.

  • @MrThingy3 Sheperds Tartan is Scottish and that alone far pre-dates the Irish clones, the Irish only started taking up Scottish things in the early 1900's as a result of the made up 'Celt' identity.

Even the Irish regional tartans came out by Scottish manufacturers in the 1960's Edinburgh in Scotland.

    Shameless...

  • It is nice to see old rivalries kept alive in the 21st Century for no reason what so ever.

  • @TypingTreeFrog it seems you do as well, Im Irish and the only Scottish thing about this is the song, the rest is as Irish as Whiskey and Guinness :)

  • Frog-Boy I hope you only look after AMERICAN frogs that are indigenous to your country! Get your own frogs!

  • @TypingTreeFrog True, they are even playing "Scotland the Brave" pipe anthem on the Great Scottish pipes. The Irish started to adopt Scottish stuff like Bagpipes and Tartan in the early 1900's with the emergence of Celt romantism, even the Irish regional tartans came from Edinburgh in Scotland in the 60's.

It's all Plastic Paddie Yankees that keep confusing the world of the facts, they pretend their Irish despite not being born there, never set foot there and have no idea of true Irish culture.

  • Yep - the battle-cries of the Picts as they clashed into the romans and annhiliated them. Poor bastard had to put of the Antione Wall as well as Hadrian's!!!! That is the power of the Celts!!!!

  • @celticbattleaxe The Picts are the Scots only as proved by OGAP4 code, the Celts identity did not exist back then as it's a made up term from the 1800's by a linguist to describe language similarities and make a grouping of them.

    Scots = Caledonian Picts.

  • @Calengela Uh, no - the Celts existed over much of Europe, including the Gauls, Celt-iberians, Scots, Picts, and the Welsh/Pretans. The Scots are not Picts at all. The Picts were he last Pretan tribe to survive the Roman conquest, and they inhabited the Scottish highlands (remember Calgacus?). The Scots (also known as the Gaels, but they were really the D`al Riata) crossed into modern-day Scotland from Ireland. "Scot" and "Scotti" are Latin terms for the D`al Riata, meaning "to plunder"
