I think they had a wonderful journey together. But I am sorry for her, because I dont think someone can recover after such a loss. 50 years together! More than one of us will ever experience with someone else. Honour and moral are unknown words in todays lives.......

italoluder... You said it all. A beautiful and gracious couple who shared something very few do. Don't let that worry you because their love is a rare one and most couples still live happily. Paul and Joanne had their good and bad times like all couples. They just worked at it. It helps that they were both gorgeous especially his baby blue eyes. You WILL find someone one day. You are still young and have not settled for just anyone yet.

It is a wonderful country but so is Germany. Europe has all of those beautiful old buildings dating back centuries. I have been to Austria for 5 weeks on a ski trip many many years ago and it was breath taking.

2:13-2:14 from the movie "From the Terrace". I know the Paul Newman had blue eyes--but there are blue eyes and then there are BLUE EYES! It was is if some technical person added some extra to his eyes. Gorgeous.

I heard that Paul had died the other day. I felt I was in shock. It wasn't until just now when I watched this video of He and JoAnn that tears fell from my eyes! I'm not sure if my tears are for JoAnn or for me thinking of my husband being this old one day?
I didn't know Paul either but somehow I think those of us who group up watching his movies still connected to him somehow.
I only pray that I get to see him again one day.
