  • why the engine shuts off sometimes

  • how long is one lesson?

  • what is the difference between a super and a normal cub

  • @stuya9 Cubs had 65hp some 85hp and no flaps. Super Cubs have flaps and as much as 150 to 180hp. They also have different wings with lots of lift. Most Super Cubs were used as bush planes or float planes.

  • @m3fordcord Thanks What licences do you need in europe or usa

  • Good video! Can't wait to fly a tail wheel plane... ~J~

  • you lucky S.O.B.! our cub is down right now :( give anything to fly one again. been to long. love this old bird :)

  • @dimaflour it's an optical illusion. the prop's still spinning, but at that rpm, it looks like it's not.

  • Get certified for three pointers!

  • u must have been lucky to sit back there!!! I wish I could do that!!

  • in my opinion they are the funnest planes to fly on flight simulator x

  • damn its sick ! is it dangerous to fly in the plane like that? I feel bad when i see this rotor stops spining

  • what happend? 0:53 is the movie or the engine that really stopped?

  • The frame rate of the camera and the prop are in sync or ever time the camera takes a picture the prop just happens to be in the same place. Like a strobe light makes things look stopped in a dark room.

  • @m3fordcord I suspected man, thanks

  • @guilhermerrrr

Heck, having it stopped is pretty normal, what I really like is when it it turning BACKWARDS :)

  • Great video, sound is great. what camera, did you use to record this? how did you mounted? thanks.

  • What type of camera / audio setup are you using? (ie. how can you get both engine and headset audio?)

  • Check out my other videos, I did one on the setup I use. All under m3fordcord.

  • I learned to fly in a J3....yellow just like this one.

Learned off a grass strip cow pasture/airport in 1956,

Damn, this video brings back memories.

  • I don't fly, but if I wanted to learn, I'd want to learn in a cub!

  • AMEN

  • super or just regular?

  • 85 HP nothing super about that

  • this airplane is a lot of fun

  • Excellent, thanks for sharing. I will start my training in a legend cub soon.

  • Good luck and learn to do that rudder dance.

  • Have logged 3.7 hours and have done my first landings, so much fun!

  • Thanks for the nice video. That didnt get your endorsement?

I am about ready to fly off for the first time in my new tail dragger. He always wanted your tail lined up with the runway, what to do in a X-wind? Later on you must have done some of those Im sure? I would think that you would land on one main and then the other only after the air speed has bled off enough for the plane to settle down to a straight and level attitude?

Its hard to get opinions about this because everybodys different.

  • Yep, got my endorsement a few months back. You always have to keep the momentum and the airplane pointed in the same direction, straight down the runway hopefully. In a crosswind use the ailerons to lower the upwind wing into the wind. Use the rudder to keep the plane straight. Its like a sideslip. Wheel land with the upwind wheel first, keeping the ailerons in do the rudder dance till the tail drops. Thats how I try to do it anyway.

  • Ya, its the settling down to your tail wheel thats going to be what I have to get used to. I have always done well in X-winds so I ain't to worried about it. Thanks so much for the input. I have been snowed in this last week and just staring at my plane, waiting.

  • Very enjoyable video. Thanks.

  • Thanks for looking.

  • Awesome video! I'm working on my tailwheel right now, had my first two flights yesterday and today, did some high-speed taxiing on the mains, and will break out the wheel landings tomorrow in a Champ. Thanks a lot! :)

  • Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it.

  • Thanks for your positive comment. They are a blast to make and I hope somewhat informative for someone wanting to fly.

  • great video man, i enjoyed it.

great classic plane to learn in

  • Hey thanks. I do these so I can review and hopefully learn from my flights.
