  • ROBERTO CLEMENTE.PARA NOSOTROS LOS NICARAGUENSES ERES UNA GLORIA.COMO DEPORTISTA SIEMPRE SERAS RECORDADO XQ NOS DISTE DE TU SUDOR CUANDO LO NESECITABAMOS QUE EL SEÑOR TE TENGA EN LA GLORIA

  • No batting gloves.......Just talent.

  • I really, really wanted to click on the "like" button for this video, but there were "21" likes at the time. For reasons you may understand, I didn't touch it. Thanks for posting.

  • What a hero!! In Masaya, Nicaragua our stadium is named in you honor. I did'nt know about the one in Germany. Does any one else know other stadiums in the world named in his honor?

  • ROBERTO CLEMENTE WALKER (Escrito original mío) (®) PARECE QUE ESTE AÑO A LA GENTE SE LE OLVIDO RECORDAR A ROBERTO. SI LO HICIERON NO FUE LO SUFICIENTE. ROBERTO FUE Y SERA SIEMPRE UN HEROE UNIVERSAL. LO SUYO NO FUE CUESTION DE FAMA. ES UN HEROE; NO COMO UN ARTISTA O UN CANTANTE; UN ARTISTA O UN CANTANTE NO LE DAN GLORIA A NADIE, PUES ESO ES UN TRABAJO COMO CUALQUIER OTRO; LO UNICO QUE ES UN TRABAJO PUBLICO, UN TRABAJO QUE SE VE, DEL QUE MUCHOS SE ENTERAN;
  • ROBERTO MURIO COMO VIVIO: DANDO.

    NO ERA COMO ESOS "ARTISTAS" DE HOY, QUE DICEN QUE VAN A "DAR",

    Y LO QUE PRESTAN ES SU CARA; PRESTAN SU FIGURA, Y SU FAMA;

    QUIZAS APORTAN LO QUE REPRESENTAN; PERO DE ESO,

    A METER SU MANO EN EL BOLSILLO...

    EL DIA EN QUE ROBERTO PERDIO SU VIDA, EL HABIA PAGADO EL AVION

    EN QUE LLEVARIAN, LAS MEDICINAS, ROPA, Y OTROS ARTICULOS DE

    PRIMERA NECESIDAD

Vladimir Tovar Caracas, Venezuela

  • R.I.P Ariba!!!!! Such an amazing player and human being! And he left the world a better place!

  • old uniform is way badass then the new ones.

  • a wonderful ball player an even better human being.

  • Clemente died on Dec. 31, 1972 in plane crash. With regard to the regular major-league baseball season, he was still with the Pirates. The 5-year wait for the Hall of Fame was then waived so he could be elected immediately.

  • I had that bat. IT was the 33 model with his name on it back in the day around 1976

  • Great upload. An amazing athlete and man in his final days. I still think of him often.

  • Hit the ball while on one knee... try that someone... he is only person that could hit a ball 300 ft. off his front foot... thanks

  • He was getting bad pitches here and still managed to get the bat on the ball with crazy swings.

  • to easy for him. .

  • AWESOME

  • as a nicaraguan I say thank you roberto,to find a man like you now days is rare.thank you puerto rico.

  • priceless footage. great upload.

  • Hans Norbert Jaeger, playing for Germany in Nicaragua in 72, recorded this clip and agrees: RC was managing the PR team, just for fans he joined BP. Robertos last time active in baseball. Date Oct. 10, '72. Jaeger is proud his team was staying at the same hotel where they met RC (Interconti, Managua). Jaeger and his teammates, impressed by Robertos personality, made sure to name the new baseballstadium in Mannheim (Germany) built in 1975 "Roberto-Clemente-Field", still in use, still played on.

  • @bsctrainer where exaclty is this field i live in germany close to mannheim i would like to pass by to see it

  • Clemente was managing this amateur team for Puerto Rico; he never played in the series (no pros allowed),

  • Its when he played for the Puerto Rican Crabs I beleive.

  • I thinkThis was Roberto when he coached/played for Puerto Rico after the major league season in 72

  • This makes perfect sense. Roberto was in Nicaragua three weeks prior to the massive earthquake in Managua on December 23, 1972. He died in a plane carrying supplies from Puerto Rico to earthquake victims in Managua. Thanks for posting!

  • this definetely is roberto, playing in the world champion series for his country, in one of the last games he was able to play.

  • it sure is and thanks for adding it he was my favorite player as a kid,i will never forget first hearing the news the play went down

  • dude this either isn't Roberto or this is him from his early days cause he died when he was still playing for the pirates

  • @justinwillow Justin, for all of his playing career Roberto Clemente played winter league ball right up to the end of his life. In fact he started playing winter league ball before he was in the pro's. His first year he played rightfield next to Willy Mays in center. This was definately Roberto when he was older anyway.

  • I'll always love you Roberto!!!!!!
