  • Dodge really needs to go back to the drawing board, they're cars are too damn heavy and their V8s are unbelievably weak. A 5.7L V8 should not produce less than 400 hp. I saw the dyno results from an 2011 RT classic recently and it developed 347 hp, that's a little more than a V6 should make. Dodge can do it if they wanted to, but looks seem to be more important to them.

  • im a mustang guy but damn sure doesnt shift like a v6......is it a manual?

  • why is everybody hating on the new mustang v6?good car good engine.look at the Buick grand national, is a turbo v6 and, its a hell of car... are you hating on that too?

  • @acere23 ignore those haters they jsut mad cause theres a v6 that can smoke a v8 lol

  • Comon do you DA,s really think the was an RT with no exhaust note at all,, The Rims are in FACT V6 rims ,, Personally i think its gay to own a V6 but hey ,,

  • i love that mustang!!!!

  • I see alot of posts in here that need driver mods for the R/T, just like the one in this vid.

  • Also, good win, but the Challenger is a V6 as well. Those rims are V6 option wheels, not available on the RT or SRT, additionally the V6 has a different rear valence than the RT which is difficult to see hear (in all honesty), but visible.

  • @jetpilot222 Well then the guy that owns it will be in for a rude awakening.... because even the guy racing him in the orange SRT-8 in another video has come by our local board and confirmed that it was a RT that got smoked.

  • @PoleKitten87 Well tell us ,,,,, was he shocked to learn its a v6

  • Trust me buddy a stock mustang v6 will get SMOKED by a 2011 stock Challenger R/T....let's come back down to planet Earth here....LMAO..

  • @PHILLY2727 I raced a modded R/T with my 2011 GT, he ran a 15 sec 1/4 with an auto. Had exhaust tune and CAI. Dodge failed this time around, the Challenger is just too heavy.

  • @LiquidFrost he didnt di something right they run 13's stock

  • mustang could have a v12 and they would still be gay

  • @shoppy16 yea rite hemmm ever wonder why the 2011 5.0 gt can almost if not beat the gt500 ford traction sucks they would have to give it lees hp and drop a ton of weight adding more hp would be useless wit out traction

  • @impala4544 the mustang is already the lightest of the 3. challenger being the heaviest lol

  • @impala4544 a 11 gt will not beat or get close to well driven 11 gt500! With a set of Dr's you got a mid 11s car!. The 13 gt500 will be getting tech from the boss 302,better rubber, bigger engine, and a better blower!

  • @braddfordy BS. Those GT500's are slow as hell, best ive seen one race at the track was a 12.4 at 120 Maybe in perfect weather and a great driver, but most gt500's are having trans issues. WOT box helps, but they just suck! 2013? bad mofo

My 2011 gt has ran best of a 12.0 118 on stock rubber! no nitrous and no blower or turbo

  • @impala4544 i think you got it backwards....its shelby fault that it has horrible traction not ford. ford sends them mustangs shelby is a complete different company i love my mustangs but hate the fact the shelby doesnt improve on traction and handling and 0-60 times....hopefully the new shelby will be the greatest.....200mph

  • @impala4544...and then ford is gona be in front again with the 2013 gt500.

  • a v6 mustang owning a 5.7L hemi sad very sad dodge haves to respond there now the slowest of the competition chevy soon to be first when the camaro zl1 comes in 2012 ford and dodge last

  • haha no way that just happened. i own a 2010 mustang gt, and by the look of things it seems like i can beat a challenger r/t... but can i beat an srt 8? what's the difference between the 2? btw my car is a stick shift and stock. any info will help.

  • @po5987 The Challenger R/T has the 5.7L Hemi while the SRT-8 has either the 6.1 or 6.4L Hemi pushing about 470 hp.

  • @stupidkid487 alright then, i guess this means in need to start thinking about getting some performance parts huh haha. thanks for the info.

  • That V6 just owned that HEMI lol

  • why does the crs look bulgy?

  • The Challengers are WAY to slow with all of the weight they have!

  • were both of u stock?

  • @zacheryds The Mustang was. It was 3 days old with 250 miles on it in the video. I don't know about the Challenger, I didn't talk too much with them except to ask them to race.

  • @PoleKitten87 well nice race dude:) mustangs have come a LONG way. my dad might be getting one in a few days.

  • @PoleKitten87 the V6's are insane! my dad has one.

  • If you listen when the cars take off, you hear what appears to be a small v6, its not the mustang because its still going after the mustang shifts. Hmm I guess dodge has started putting v6's and 18" sxt wheels on challenger R/T's now to save money or something?

  • the jerkoff in the RT should be shot in the head for letting a V6 beat him. fucking faggot

  • @steliostsi Not if they were stock. It would be like saying the guy in the Maxima should be shot for letting a CTS-V beat him.

  • wow, sure as hell can't call mustangs underpowered anymore

  • well my stock 2008 charger r/t runs 8.70's in the 8th and eats the v6 stangs for lunch... so the challenger driver can't drive.

  • @mrhighnote 8.70's arent that fast, my stock 2011 gt runs 8.30's and the new v6 is faster than a challenger r/t cuz it weighs 4200 lbs

  • @hedrick5286 8.70 is like a high 13.60 in the quarter and for a 4200lb car with a 2.82 gear that is fast. 05-09 GT's can't run with me, so at least I'm faster than tehy are. A 2011 GT is the 5.0 with 412 horse and 3.73 gears and I hope it would run at least a 8.30. A 2011 GT compared to 2008 Charger R/T is like comparing a Honda Civic to a Subura WRX, not even in the same realm. My point was a V6 stang watches my taillights period!

  • @mrhighnote With a 13.6 1/4 mile a 2011 V6 Mustang isnt seeing your tail lights....a stock V6 mustang with 3.31 gears can do a 13.7.....So congrats on beating a V6 by .01 sec, but you paid 10K more and probably HAVE to use premium gas....Dont get me wrong, I like the Challenger....But its price compared to performance is pretty laughable compared to the V6 Mustang and to both the V8 Camaro's and Mustangs

  • @Punisher7121 Ok i have not seen a single stock V6 stang run a 13 anything. The best time the car mags got out of them was a 14.50 and car mags usually get better times than anybody else. So far the best time I have seen out of them was a 14.12. I believe they are better than 14.50 stock because most of the guys I have seen run between a 14.20 and a 14.30. My buddies bone stock 315 hp GT with 3.73 rears has only gotten in the 13.70's once. Usually 13.80's.

  • @mrhighnote Actually the best time for these cars is from Motor Trend, I think June 2010 when they previewed the V6 and V8. They got 5.1 to 60 and 13.7 in quarter.

  • @jodl73 It was Motor Trend that initially claimed 13.70, then they went back after the V6 was bumped up to 305hp from 300hp and did a shootout between the v6 stang, v6 camaro, and new 300hp v6 chally. The stang and camaro both ran a best time of 14.50 according to the mag and the chally ran a best time of 14.90 something. I believe this test is more accurate given what I have seen at the 1/4 mile personally as well around town. I am not knocking the new stang I think it is great for your money.

  • @mrhighnote V6 mustang does 1/5 in like 13.5

  • @mrhighnote Hello. Yeah the 13.7 is the fastest I have seen, so probably hard to get consistently. Just an FYI the 2011 V6 has always been 305hp, no bump up. Also the V6 Camaro currently rated at 312hp and V6 Challenger is 292hp. I did email one of the mags, think R&T, about the 14.5 for the V6 Mustang and they had said the automatics are are a little slower.

  • @jodl73 I know the the 2011 was bumped to 305 from 300 the previous year. The v6 chally is 300 hp the v6 charger is 292 hp. I am a MOPAR guy trust me. I did not know the 2011 v6 camaro was rated at 312. Yes the autos r slower because you can only get the 2.73 rear. You can get a 3.331 rear with the sport pack option in a manual, you can also get a 2.73 manual option as well. However 13.70 is a little fast for 305 hp and 3.31 gears in a 3500 lb car. I

  • @mrhighnote Hey. No the 2010 V6 Mustang still had the old 4 liter making 210hp. On a side note the 2010 GT made 315, why would the V6 make 300? You're right about the 292hp being on the Charger, but we are both wrong on the Challenger, it actually makes 305 as well. The 2011 V6 Camaros up to 312 from the previous 304. I read somewhere they will be close to 325 in the future, that's a 2002 SS! That 13.7 for the Mustang had the 3.73 performance gear option.

  • @jodl73 I understand that the 13.70 V6 mustang was the performance pack but if you do the math it does not add up. The 300 hp v8 with the same gear ran a mag best of 13.90 something with around the same weight, right.? How does 5 hp net and less tq gain you that much extra time.... it doesnt.. I have run these new V6 stangs on the track and street and I can tell you a 9.30 1/8th is a solid mid 14 and accurate for thsese cars. Lets get real. best bang for your buck V6 thats it.

  • @mrhighnote Hey how are you. I don't know, chock it up to the V6's lighter weight or stickier tires, or 6spd transmission which is different from previous years by the way. I'm confused though, you refer to a 300hp GT, so I guess you are referring to an 05-09? But I see where you are coming from, basing on the fact you have seen the GT as fast as 13.9, I can't speak for 05-09's. I know the 2010's can run mid/low 13's. I just know that math doesn't always add up, other variables.

  • @mrhighnote we got more than 1 video of totally stock 3.7 manual 2011 v6 mustangs on 2.73 gears going 13.7 quarter mile times , just send me a message and i link you , that way you can either LOVE the new mustang or HATE it more , either way bring on the envy.

  • @jodl73 Also Car & Driver the V6 w/ a Manual got 5.4 to 60 and 14.0 in the quarter @ 104 mph.

  • @jeffoden we have some forum members going 13.7 with the manual totally stock.... thats on 2.73 gears on their mustang v6's , that same forum member now goes 13.4 with longT headers , cai , tune , thats spinning a whole lot in first gear, and still on 2.73 gears.

  • @BLACKSHEEPc10 - Sup Jeffoden! See you over at AFM! lol. Much love t the new 2011's!

  • @Punisher7121 also the v6 gets a 3.32 ratio with the performance option which costs more. Standard gear ratio is 2.73. And your dyno numbers are 263hp 272tq at the wheels. Also the best time noted by a tested v6 with the 3.31 is a 14.01. Cmon do the math the power and tq from the flywheel or crank which ever ford uses as there bhp even with a 3.31 is not there for a v6 with 305 hp to run a 13.70. lets stop smoking crack.

  • @mrhighnote If everything went by the numbers, there wouldn't be any racing, and where is the fun in that? I am not saying that V6's running 14.5's is false, I believe you. It's like with the new 5.0's. There are guys running 13's in the car, but I know they have run 12's consistently as well.

  • @jodl73 I agree there would be no fun!!! A new 5.0 with the right driver will run high 12's I have seen it. Most 5.0's I have seen run low 13's but I have seen good drivers run 12.90's with them all day. I have seen good drivers get a high 12.90 out of an SRT8 and thats a 4000lb car. Usually most guys in SRT8's that I have seen run low 13's to 13.20's though.

  • @mrhighnote Hey. I will tell you this, I think the Challenger has the best design, exterior, don't like interior. I want a convertible, would be cool if Challenger came in one, that would be nice. But then it would be too heavy. True you can make a 4000lb car go fast, add more power, but then mpg suffers. I know who cares about economy when shopping for American muscle? That's just me. That is impressive though, a high 12 4000lb beast.

  • @jodl73 The Challenger definitely is the best looking of the 3....But with its 3rd place performance and highest price, it would be the 3rd choice for me. Hell even 3rd best performing if its price was more competitive with the Mustang and Camaro, id take a Challenger! Its the price though, it kills me that Dodge thinks its a 30+K car for its mid level and 40 some K for its top, both which have trouble running with its direct competition stock to stock

  • You mean a 2011 gt 500. Cause the supersnake is a aftermarket option . am i wrong or right? Cause if your going to compare a 30 thousand dollar option that would make that gt 500 about a 80k+ car. then theres over a 30 thousand dollar price gap between the 2011 srt8 and a 2011 gt500 super snake. And if i would spend 80 to 90k on a car.I would get the 2010 Viper srt8 that will wax the floor with the super snake on a road course. Supersnake is a nice car but for that price i would buy a viper

  • ive ran 13.0's in my friends 2009 challenger rt with the rear mufflers removed and a cold air intake and it was also a Auto.

  • @srt4luver put a set of real performance tires on there or drag radials and you are in the 12s. it doesnt take much. the R/T comes from the factory slightly neutered to keep its performance from getting too close to the 6.1...which it already is. thats why you see the new 392 as the new SRT.

  • @mjf6866 My buddy ran a 12.9 in it with a full interior and stock 20's on the stock tires from the dealer. I just love these homo nut swingin ford clowns.

  • Hey polekittty thats a V6 challenger not a R/T. And the CHallenger is about 500 to700 lbs heavier then that mustang!

  • @srt4luver No it's not a V6, its a RT. There was a SRT8 that came to the track with them, and that person posts on the local forums. Even he's mentioned on there that I beat his friend's RT. :)

  • @PoleKitten87 Then that person in that challenger needs to grow some balls and learn how to drive!!!! What have you run in the quarter with ur V6????

  • @srt4luver I ran a 13.4 at 105 I only have a 91bama perf tune. with 2.73's pretty soon it will be 3.55's and hopin to crack high 12's. Then im goin JLt CAI and pypes catback. Im not a ford man by Nature im a Mopar guy but when I was tryin to Buy an Rt Challenger, No Bank would finance a $30,100 car to a 20yr old me. So I was forced to go V6 and at that point the mustang was the only way to go. So I went accross the street to the ford dealer and left that night in my new 11' V6.

  • @mikewilburn1 I have a Pypes catback now, pretty decent sound for the price. I wouldnt doubt the 13.4 @ 105. :)

  • @PoleKitten87 Ya the Bama tune really opened her up really worth the $379.99 price tag with free lifetime custom tunes really good deal. Im gunna in stall the 91 race tune nxt time i go to the track and see if I can shave another tenth off nut i doubt it till i swap the gears

  • @mikewilburn1 Thats what Im saying! I got my 2011 Mustang for the same reason, its very well priced. How the hell does Dodge sleep at night charging so much?! Sure the Viper maybe, but why so much for a Challenger RT and SRT8, when the RT matches up with a V6 Mustang and the SRT8 gets smoked by the Mustang GT and Camaro SS....Dont get me wrong, I love the way Challenger looks. I just cant see how they support their price...

  • @Punisher7121 ...are you serious?....R/T matching up against the V6 mustang!? gimme a break fanboy...

  • @mjf6866 Are you serious? A 3.31 Mustang V6 can run 13.7 with no other upgrades. The RT average I hear and read is 13.6.....So yeah, I'm serious the RT matches up with a 11 V6 Mustang....And hello, did the V6 Stang just beat the RT in this video??? Talk about fan boy....And for the record I preferred GM/Camaro/Trans Am before the 11 Mustang came out....

  • @Punisher7121 open up your eyes and look around bud...check my profile for a list of videos with R/Ts showing their true colors. you read too many magazines my friend...hello? the R/T driver sucks lol

  • @mjf6866 You're right, websites and VIDEOS have absolutely no truth ever. I like the Challenger, I think its the best looking of modern muscle cars. My problem with it is its price compared to performance. At as much as $10,000 more than a 11 V6 Mustang, RT is barely any faster. At just a couple thousand less than GT or Camaro SS, RT gets murdered. If the car was lighter and priced less, I'd take it no question...But until Dodge realizes they overprice their shit, I'll stick with Ford or GM

  • @Punisher7121 did you even look at the playlist in my profile? and if you're referring to videos from edmunds and motortrend, well once the cars got out to the general public, people were beating their so-called professional tests. i'd post a link directly to the playlist but it wont let me in a comment. those are all real world heads up races and the R/T hardly gets "murdered". lol. when your paper racing it gets "murdered", but real world..its closer than most people want to admit.

  • Comment removed

  • @Punisher7121 (ran out of characters) this video is simply a case of a terrible driver in the challenger and the V6 Mustang embarrassed him. props to the mustang driver, but for people to come on here, see this ONE video and claim the V6 is matched up against the R/T is just ignorance or their just blind to one brand or have hate for mopar and will take their shots when something like this comes up.

  • @mjf6866 I wont disagree with you there....My dislike for Mopar (mostly again their pricing compared to performance) makes me enjoy this video more. But ppl with blind love for Mopar would do the same....To point out, if a 11 GT can beat a SRT8 handily, that means it can murder a RT....Granted I am referring to the 2010 Challenger(s), I havent really seen or heard what #'s the 11 Challengers are doing yet....

  • @Punisher7121 i got ya. i wont disagree either about an 11 GT killing an R/T. it will. agree the price is a bit high. i paid about 32k for my 6 speed R/T and i'm pleased with the performance. more so after taking it to the track and beating some cars that were supposed to be faster while it was stock with the crap RSAs that come on it. not saying i beat an 11 GT. beat a few lightly modded GTOs, a few 05-10 GTs and an SS. got my ass handed to me by a terminator and a modded out SS.

  • @mjf6866lol thats my fav. car!! dont get me wrong i love the challenger but that 2003 termi is insane!!

  • @mikewilburn1

I'm not gonna flame or anything! but i really doubt the 13.4....................the highest ive seen with JUST a tune with GOOD drivers is 13.6-7

I know a guy on Moddedmustangs, has 4.10, LCA, JLT, 93 tune, BBK headers and o/r mid with roush axles....he runs 13.1-13.2......and he can drive! LOL so you can see why i don't believe you!

  • @mikewilburn1

And the bank did you a favor. :P

I just sold my Titan today and have a guy that's very interested in my 02 GT, as soon as it sells I'm walking my happy ass to the Ford dealership and picking up a 2011 V6 6MT Perf Package Stang.

  • @mikewilburn1 When I was 20 years old I was forced to buy a 2000 v6, I just sold it a few months ago. The wait was worth it though, no I have a 2011 GT/CS and don't have many payments left. Drive that car as long as you can and save the payment in the bank, man then buy a new GT with as few payments as possible after you roll it off the lot.

  • @mikewilburn1 military does

  • @srt4luver Never run the quarter yet. All those tracks are around 1.5-2 hours away and have yet to make a trip. This year I'll probably make it to at least one though. Curious to see what it can do.

  • @srt4luver Even if he did know how to drive he still wouldn't beat him. Then again the Challenger guy did know how to drive.

  • @srt4luver So you're arguing that Chrysler sucks? Heavy and under-powered, right? Yep, you are correct sir.

  • Just imagine how bad the new 5.0 Mustang would embarrass that piece of shit Chrysler.

  • @FixFalcon LOL man you must be dumb!!! the new srt8 challenger runs faster then the new 5.0!!! and it put more power down and it looks a hell of a lot better then the 5.0. The new 392 slaps the new 5.0 around. hemi's have always ruled over what ford would bring out. what worse for ford was that befor they came out with the new 5.0. A lil neon srt4 would shit all over mustangs left and right. LOL So talk about a beating lol and its a chrysler product and a 4dr lol

  • @srt4luver Right, the Challenger SRT8 is faster in a straight line than the 2011 Mustang GT. However, this is like comparing a Challenger SRT8 with a Challenger R/T. The SRT8 is the high-end Challenger model, the Mustang GT is just...well, the GT. Let's see the SRT8 go up against the 2011 Super Snake which is the Mustang's high-end model. You'd be ashamed to call yourself a Mopar fan.

  • @FixFalcon Nooo. The SRT8 is not faster the 2011 Mustang GT. Thats the sad thing for Dodge, when they charge so much for the vehicle. Check out the MT video on it. Make sure its the one with the 11 GT vs Camaro and Challenger, you see the Mustang beats them both. SRT8 was faster that the 10 GT, but no more with the 5.0 11 GT

  • @Punisher7121 Try to explain that to srt4luver and mikewilburn1

  • @FixFalcon Sorry my dad embarrased the 5.0 at the track. The dude deserved it acted alot like you are pops ran a 12.6 at 110, 5.0 ran a 12.8 at 109

  • Those are really slow times for both cars, respectively. That just proves the Mustang driver was just as shitty of a driver as your dad.

  • @FixFalcon Ah no when my dad ran the mustang he had just under 400mi on it he didnt go WOT on the challenger and wont at the local 1/4 until he gets past 5000mi any one who has owned either a 5.7, 6.1, or even the 6.4, know hemi's arent broken in until around 5000mi. and last week he ran a 12.3 at 114mph still he swares he wasnt floored.

  • @srt4luver throw a chip in that Horse.. and it will gain 4-5 tenths... shame on Dodge...and chevy for that matter... more 20 year olds back in Mustangs this year BUY the thousands...

  • All in all it's still just a V6 Mustang... Nothing special.

  • Yep, just a little v6 mustang, no big deal. :)

  • @PoleKitten87 Yea basically. A high 13 car is nothing special... Even though most of the 2011's run 14's...

  • @v10viper04 yeah, its still just a better car in every way for a boatload less green. nothin special.

  • @anonazero Yea, i always forget how much better it is than every other car out there... For such a low amount of money as 20-25k! I would rather go out and buy a C5 corvette for 5-10k less and run circles around that V6 stang.... but ya know that's just me... Or buy a Z06 for 25k(same as starting price of a loaded V6 stang Coupe) and make that V6 stang look pathetic... But again, that's just me...

  • @v10viper04 a used car with like 80K miles vs a brand new car? no thanks bro lolz

  • @anonazero How about more like 10k miles.... Look on ebay. They are going for 25k with 10,000 miles... Blew your theory up huh? I'll bet the Vette is more reliable too. How about 30+mph highway with a Z06 also? It's not uncommon to see high 20's or 30's.... Look it up, you'll see. Seriously maybe you should do a little research before you think your know everything..... Just saying bud...

  • @v10viper04 ORLY? find one that is selling for 25K with anywhere near 10k miles. then you sitll have to deal with the chevy quality and the fact that a 7+ year old car is going to have problems so forget about warranty work.

maybe you should do a little research before you start suggesting scenarios that i've already considered and rejected for reasons that you clearly do not understand. then again, you either own a viper or aspire to such so that tells me a lot about your thought process.

  • @v10viper04 Keep thinkin that the shock of your life will come soon enough

  • @mikewilburn1 I'm sorry the shock of YOUR life hit you hard, but I'm pretty sure I'm fine. Did the green monster get the best of you today? Go have fun with your V6 stang I don't really care, but it's still just a V6 stang. O and if you ran a 13.4 @ 105 with just a tune wheres your proof? Post up or shut up... Seriously...

  • @v10viper04 Nxt time im at the track i will record it. And post it

  • Mustang V6 beats all other v6 cars because of it's light weight factor

  • @cemsengul16 And it beats some v8s because of it's power factor.

  • @cemsengul16 Umm no, it's still slower than an IS350.

  • dam nice rt kill in ur v6 lol these new mustangs are something else....

  • idk why people brag about cars. Ford and dodge suck, anyways my SLR Mclaren kills any muscle car.

  • @Super5StarStunna is that what your boyfriend thinks too?

  • @Super5StarStunna ''SLR'' sure dude and i drive a veyron get real

  • @Super5StarStunna One of the gayest comments ever. Stop playing Need For Speed and stop driving mommies Toyota Corolla then come talk to me.

  • That thing got a Hemi in it?

  • doesnt the srt8 challenger have 470 horsepower?

just wondering cuz i saw it on the site.

  • @BobbZzz01 i belive its 420 and thats at the crank not the wheels and the rt is in the 370s at the crank. look on here for challenger hemi 6.1L and hemi 5.7 L dyno runs i know there are some videos on here . you will see what the actual stock rear wheel hp is

  • @BobbZzz01 the 2011 SRT is the new 6.4, which is advertised at 470hp. the 2010 and down SRT is using the 6.1 hemi which puts out 425 at the crank. the new 5.7 which is in this video is advertised at 376hp, but is actually underated by about 30hp as shown by back to back dyno runs with a 5.7 and a 6.1. the 5.7 is dynoing about 30 less hp at the wheels than the 6.1. dodge under rated it most likely so it wouldnt cut into current 6.1 sales.

  • @mjf6866 Who told you 376hp on the 5.7? The charger and 300c are rated at 376hp to the crank. The challenger is rated to 395hp at the crank. At least that is what was on the sticker at GOSCH Dodge in hemet, and I still bought my 2011 V6 Mustang From GOSCH Ford. The challenger is just an over weight cow

  • @mikewilburn1 i know they are under rated. at least the 09-10 5.7's were as they were listed at 376 on the sicker. i didnt know they finally put 395 on the sticker. very cool. and you can call the challenger a cow or boat or whatever the trendy thing is to say about it, but with 410ft/lbs of torque, the car moves just fine. i have yet to lose to an 05-10 GT in my stock "cow" r/t. even ones with minor mods. its all relative dude. you gotta know how to launch all the torque.

  • @BobbZzz01 It might. That was just a regular RT. The SRT8 didn't wanna play, and I heard after this race it spent a few grand modding up.

  • In response to all the "Good job dude/man/whatever", thanks. But I'll let you in on something: I'm a female ;)

  • @PoleKitten87 even better! that must have REALLY pissed that guy off!

  • @PoleKitten87 atleast you picked a good car.

  • i love how people make excused for a challenger just cause it has a v8. challengers weigh over 4000 pounds and only has 340 horses. the '11 mustang v6 only weighs 3560lbs and has 310 horses. the story writes itself in the numbers. but personally i want a '11 mustang GT

  • @craigoshen well, i love how people come on here and spout out numbers that are WRONG about the challenger. the R/T Challenger with its NEW (09 and up) 5.7ltr hemi lists 376hp/410tq. in actuality, its in the realm of 390-400hp/410tq. you are close about the weight though. some guys with stripped down R/Ts weigh in at about 3900 lbs. the SRT is the heaviest at 4100lbs with 425hp/410tq. get the facts straight bud. the '11 mustang GTs are BEASTS however.

  • @mjf6866 You are completely right on the numbers But the 2011's are finally rated at 395 crank Hp on the sticker. But im still sure my Modded 2011 V6 mustang will beat it

  • @craigoshen Challenter R/T has 372 HPnot 340....

  • @MrLumpz and it still lost to a v6 mustang with 310 HP so.....

  • @craigoshen Just stating the facts man. If you're going to post #'s, u might want to put the correct #'s. Didn't know that would get your thong in a bunch. lol

  • @craigoshen that cuz...the pony had a lil boost of a stick shift. and the driver in the challenger wasnt really trying, plus it was automatic. either way challenger could've of beat it.

  • i agree with djcd01, i'm not trying to take anything away from you either cause a win is a win!

  • the rt challenger ran a mid 14.5-14.7 quarter mile and the 2011 mustang 3.7 runs 13.6-13.8 all day long..

  • @TheWieseldiesel must have been a noob drivng that challenger. auto r/t's are low 13 second cars with the right driver in stock form, 6speeds are mid 13 on average. you cant automatically assume its a 14 second car off a few novice runs.

  • @mjf6866 in the 1/8 mile i think the manual mustang beats the automatic challenger almost every time, 1/4 mile i think the challenger wins. the guy can drive his mustang though , good job man. its nice to see someone go through the gears at the track. there is a bit more to think about at the line, takes a bit more skill.i dont think it would be as fun for me if i had a automatic.

  • @sinister99gt the lighter mustang will definitely have an advantage in a quick sprint!

  • i'm so impressed how quick the 2011 V6's are

  • Congrats man. that is a good time. I wish they wouldve put me up against an RT. haha. I raced an SRT8 and barely lost to it. Look at my vids for the video of it.

    Mines is an automatic though

  • I drove the 05 chragers and 08-09 challengers, both autos.

  • no reason for challenger guys to get all riled up...this is simply a case of a good driver in the mustang and a TERRIBLE driver in the challenger. that r/t with the right driver would walk away from that v6. the r/t oozes torque, and torque either wins a race or loses it. in this case, it loses the race because the driver couldn't handle launching the car without spinning like mad! Nice run PoleKitten! I'll bet that guy was pissed!

  • @mjf6866 all the mopar guys should know how slow those cars are by now, in a 1/8 mile that car doesnt have a chance against thatV6 mustang. in a 1/4 it should win, i killed a 6.1L hemi challenger from a stop light today, i havent seen any at the track by my house so i havent had a chance to race them on a strip. i dont think they want to come out and get beat by almost anything that shows up.

  • @sinister99gt no disrespect, but i own an 09 R/T 6 speed w/ 3.92 rear and have yet to lose to any 2010 or older GT that was stock or lightly modded on the street or strip. i will say that i've been beaten by a nice 07 GT with DRs, tune, exhaust and gears. i was also killed by a wicked Terminator with DRs, so that was wasnt even close! i've found that more old guys seem to own challengers (no offense to anyone) and have less desire to push the car. i gotta give this V6 driver credit though!

  • @mjf6866 forgot to mention my only mod right now is a billet tech catch can and an amsoil drop in air filter. next mod is to get a decent set of tires with the proper width. the stock goodyear rsa's are garbage touring tires and have no business being on a car this heavy with the amount of torque its putting down.

  • @mjf6866 without the nitto nt01s my car would be much slower, that was another $1,300 to go faster . but it was money well spent.i just got a set a15 inch racestar rims and hoosier drag radials for the track . i ran 8.20 with the nittos in the 1/8 there is a video on here of a 8.39 run that was in the summer in florida. with the hoosiers and the cooler weather i expect to get under 8 seconds . this is also my daily driver, its fun.

  • @sinister99gt thats pretty impressive bro! lots of people don't understand the other factors, especially the driver mod! :) i'll agree with you on the price...a bit too much, but i've never lusted over a car as much as i do for the challenger so the extra money was not even a factor for me. no plans for a supercharger on my R/T yet. just a tuner, exhaust, cooler t-stat along with tires, most importantly. other R/T guys are doing those mods and beating stock 6.1 hemi times in the 1320.

  • @mjf6866 i agree i love that car also i just couldnt bring myself to pay that kind of money for it . i like all kinds of american cars im not just a ford guy i have had them all. i wanted to go faster and to spend that money and have to add 10 grand to it to get where i wanted wasent gonna happen. i have a few videos on here , check them out if you get a chance.

  • @sinister99gt i'm diggin' the paint job man! looks good. sounds good too! was the car stock when you got it?

  • @mjf6866 i bought it new in 99, i put it in car shows race it and drive it every day.

  • @mjf6866 i have a 99 mustang GT 4.6L 2v with a 2.1L kenne bell ,315 nitto nt01s, a stock 117,000 mile 99 GT, i have repeatedly beaten a couple of shelby gt 500s at a local 1/8 mile track.its just that most people read 425 hp and think holy crap that car is fast , not understanging the true numbers and all the factors involved.plus the ability to drive it, they see a video of a car pulling away from one and its he wasent trying,i love the challengers, cost to much ,+ $ to make it fast enough 50Gs

  • The the old gt mustang then, but a new v6 or gt mustang is price to power. My buddy got a new 370z with the sport package for under 30k. The 2011 challengers seem better than the the ones I drove.

  • @jimmydean91 The only differences between the '09-'10 and '11 R/Ts is suspension. Same engine output. the SEs however have a new 300hp v6 (still not enough) and suspension as well. which 2011 challenger did you drive? I didn't know dealers had them yet? And also, what model? R/T or SE, stick or auto?

  • As a 2011 Mustang V6 owner this put a huge smile on my face. Nice job!

  • Yup, sure was. What do you want me to lie and say I think the r/t is the badass of all muscle? Based on my own test drives of the r/t and v6, there are better cars to me for the money. If I offend someone, I am sorry.

  • @jimmydean91 no need to lie and you don't have to apologize. the r/t is nowhere near being the "badass of muscle." that title goes to the GT500 for now at least. there's no question there. just curious, when you said there were better cars to you for the money, which cars were you referring to?

  • and theres more in that buzzin half a dozen too! they run 13s and he only got a mid 14 out of it. theres a 2011 v6 stang with a few mods runnin 13flat on here.

  • hmm, v6 whoops v8 ass, yup. poor dodge. the only good challenger is the srt-8 but its like 40 grand, and for that i can get a vette, with a few rounds on it.

  • @jimmydean91 typical uninformed kid remark

  • Umm?? Did mopar gust have it's ass handed to it or what. lmfao

  • Vinylcollector08 haha go suck nobama's dick, (so you can STFU!) haha ur so childish...

  • I'm feel bad for somebody wasting money on an overweight underpowered car.it must be terrible to see other companies produce v6's that can keep up with dodges v8. Haha cheap interiors, bad reliability, etc. most auto tests completely leave out the dodge because they are so far behind ford and chevy... If your idea of fun Is driving an overweight car that's bound for hertz then the dodge is for you..

  • @93Gatorchomp93 uhh..you see more mustangs and camaros in rental lots buddy...anyways...thanks for your pitty..i enjoy having the car that's overlooked and thought of as easy prey...makes the win even sweeter for me when the guy i just dusted wont even pull up next to my car for a friendly thumbs up after a race because he thought he'd kill that "overweight, cheap pig of a car." its happened quite often actually! what do you drive, might i ask?

  • @bigdaddywiz i drive a 2011 mustang v6 premium performance package.....

  • @93Gatorchomp93 cool...so how many slow challenger r/t's have you beat?

  • Ford has come along way since the days of cheap fall apart cars. These new Fords are well built and I am beside myself concerning the power and effeciency of the engines. By the way, I am a mopar fan from all the way back to the 70's models. My brother owned a 70 Challenger T/A...One sweet car. The 2011 Challengers are out now with alot of improvements. I am waiting to see how they fair against the lighter mustang. Mustang has been winning the hp vs. weight ration lately. That could change

  • the people who are hating on the mustang just cant accept the fact a 6 cylinder mustang beat a challenger r/t, and yet the challenger has more power
