  • if you stand still and let the bomb from the dragonflies fall in front of you on ground it still wont hurt you

  • outa curiousity, what are your top 5 favorite robot masters

  • You know it's interesting watching these and seeing you take alternate paths. I've had this game since it came out essentially and there were some paths that you took that I've never seen before, or at least don't remember. That was especially true for this stage and the first split path you took. Had never even seen some of those enemies before.

  • @RoahmMythril Benkei reminds me of Gilgamesh for Final Fantasy. Except that he just kept getting most of the time Fake copies of the hero's weapons. Except for three weapons 1) Masamune 2) Excalibur 3) Zantetsuken. He's also gotten Excailpoor, the copy of Excalibur that does little to no damage. But even though he's a screw up most of the time he's actually one of my favorite FF characters.

  • Yam aaaa toe

  • I like Yamato Man, he's a pretty cool Robot Master. I hardly take the lower paths. I should take them more often. Even though I won't get the Beat Part, haha.

    -Old School Video Game King-

  • You know, there IS a real miniboss to this stage. I think you have to smash the first cracked barrel with the Power Adaptor. It's some sort of Hun warrior on a giant frog. You have to see it.

  • @luteus77 I believe that warrior is based off of Jiraiya, a mythical japanese warrior that had mastered frog magic. Probably where Naruto got their Jiraiya.

  • Tanukis that attack by throwing big balls at you... oh god that is so perfect

  • @TheEchoSystem reminds me of Pom Poko... my god, i feel like a pervert for admitting to seeing that...

  • lovin the louis armstrong reference!

  • Japanman was his origional name in the megaman VI japanese version.

  • Huh, I actually didn't know that.

  • What the Hades is a Yamato? Is it anything like a "Tomato?" I swear, one day I will design a Robot Master called Tomato Man...and he will kick (pardon the pun) Plant Man's pansy ass. :)

  • Yamato is Japanese for "home" if memory serves. He's a Robot Master carrying the pride of his homeland.

  • @RoahmMythril On Yamato: It's also a badass katana in one of Capcom's other franchises. It was held by some dude voiced by a guy who played a Power Ranger once.

  • @RoahmMythril actually i do belive yamato means spear

  • Shadow Man actually rides the Frog thing as his critical in Power Fighters...I think

  • 04:00

The 1-ups are always watching. Even in the password screen.

(Tilt your head 45 degrees to the left if you don't get what I'm saying.)

  • *Punches your arm*

That was for the domoarigato mr. yamato

  • And thus ends the NES Megaman series. Here's to a successful (and hopefully hilarious) playthru of the rest. Cheers!

  • 4:36 Disappearing Walker

...Right when Capcom thought they were free of scrolling related troubles, along comes enemy types that can simply walk backwards off-screen! XD I did quite enjoy abusing MM2's scrolling issues when recording Rockman No Constancy, though, hehe.

  • Haha, sometimes scrolling abuse is fun X) Works nicely on the Chibees from Hard Man's stage after all.

  • @RoahmMythril HARD MAN lol

  • @RoahmMythril what was your nightmare robot master for Megaman 6 and maybe 5?

  • @RoahmMythril 4:26 I havent heard turnig japanese in sooooo long! Last time I heard it was many years ago, when my sister played it on GH2

  • Dashun, a giant robot, in a japan style stage?

    ehehehehe

  • what program do you use to record your games? please

  • It's all covered on my FAQ video. Look on my main channel page at the featured video.

  • I noticed that Yamato Man's fake path is harder than his real path. Weird.

  • @MeatWisdom That should tell us more about the boss difficulty.

  • Hey RoahmMythril, do you consider Mega Man 6 to be the easiest Mega Man? If not what is? Also I was planning on doing no damage runs using the robot master weapons, but also playing the Wily stages. What game do you think would be easiest to pull that off on?

  • 6 probably does feel like the easiest to me. As for that, using weapons will help out a lot, I'd personally say 4 or 5 might be your best bet there. Just remember to shoot Bright Man once with the buster before going to Rain Flush to keep him from using Flash Stopper ;)

  • Nice end to a nice series. Megaman Classic on the NES complete. Thanks for your effort on the series and we'll see you on your next video, Roahm

  • Roahm Mythril, this would be a perfect match, if a Samurai (Yamato Man) againest a Ninja (Shadow Man)

  • If you shouldn't know, "Domo arigato, Mr. Yamato" actually means "Thank you very much Mr. Home"

  • I missed the joke with the Walker outtake.

  • It managed to scroll itself off screen, that's what amused me.

  • @RoahmMythril

At least that makes that out take make more sense.

  • i dont think you get the beat part when you go after the underground one im pretty sure

  • Right, only the upper path one gives you the part.

  • Fighting yamatoman is easy. You can beat him by just shooting him and waiting for him to do his jump thing. Just stand still if he's jumping over you and every arrow will land very close to you but won't actually hit you.

    Also, nice commentary.

  • Its actually pronounced Yah - Mah - Toh

  • 6:12

later on in the power fighters shadowman would steal Yamatoman's frog

  • I'm surprised you rated his difficulty so high, Yamatoman was the first one I buster-dueled in MM6 without getting damaged. Of course, this is probably mostly because he's my favorite design, but the only I think is easier is Knightman (of course lol)

  • He takes a good bit of practice, learning to read his attacks right and have enough room to dodge basically. It's also made trickier by the stiff controls of MM6, the sliding is... really bad in this game.

  • excuse me RoamMythril but if i ever made a megaman game with 1 boss from each game every boss would have an evect when they are hit with there own wepon Yamatomans would be whene hes hit with yamato spear he shoots a yamato spear at the screen causing it to break and make glass fall

  • 4:08

    EAT

  • Just wondering: What does Yamato mean, exactly?

  • From my understanding, it means specifically Ancient Japan. I'm not 100% on this though.

  • From the opening statement on the Wiki:

"Yamato (大和) was originally the area around today's Sakurai City in Nara Prefecture of Japan. Later the term was used as the name of the province and also as an ancient name of Japan. The term was semantically extended to mean Japan or Japanese in general, and carries many of the same connotations as Americana does for the United States."

  • Ah, thank you very much for clearing that up.

  • that was an epic freak out when u scrolled the walker off screen

  • I was paying attention and yes, every robot master in this game is durable. Every robot master only loses one unit of health when hit with the Mega Buster.

  • Yamato Man, Yamato Man, doin' the things that a... Yamato can?

Personally, I'd have renamed him Samurai Man for the English export. Easier to get if you're not familiar with Japanese history.

  • I wonder if Yamato Man's spear head can damage you while it sits on the ground. Seeing as how you avoided it every time, I'm guessing that it does.

  • Yes, indeed the spear head, even lying there by itself on the ground, can damage you.

  • Aye, thank you for clearing that up for me. ^_^

  • well this is a pointless coment which..but ive watched 80 vids...and im calling it a night...i hate being 6-8 hours ahead of america...sogh but what can you do...zzzz

  • Yeah, I've heard a lot of people hate on this game, but I thought it was still very enjoyable. I think the whole bait & switch with the "fake new villain" was getting old after MM4 & 5 did the exact same thing (or perhaps Capcom was parodying it with Mr. X; after all, they didn't take much effort to disguise him). Still, I found MM6 to be a great game nonetheless.

  • OMG, BurnerMan, uncharged-buster-only with Rock? Impossible. You almost HAVE to use an Ice Wall to escape Bomber-Telly #3. Or a charge-shot to take out the cannon fast enough to barely escape. o.o

You'd have to be one incredibly mad dragon to pull that off!

  • Oh, I bet it's doable. Just really difficult.

  • Benkei amazing warrior of great stature and strength fought along the Minamoto Clan. Also he will be coming out as a new character in the new game by Koei, Warriors Orochi Z or (The Collective)

  • Aye, Warriors Orochi Collective, that's one of the very few things I've seen that makes me wish I had a PS3 X)

  • well i do not doubt that it will come out on the 360

  • FYI, I've been using Camstudio with the main video settings at set Key Frames every 30 frames, 50 ms, and 20 frames/s for SNES. Every so often I'll have a problem but lately it's been problem free.

  • Yamatoman is a great Rm if you ask me... like you said: isnt frustrating but isnt easy either. So.. Snes Megaman then... you could try a great emulator that has several useful utilities: like recorder XD

  • Well, the blue bomber himself does it too, y'a know.

  • That would be the one I was going for ;)

  • Hmm... warrior who collects his fallen enemies weapons... it does sound familiar... maybe Gilgamesh?

  • Well, its time to say good bye to the NES series...*sniff* many beloved robot masters born here...oh well, thus far the robot masters have falled down to your feet (and the japanese dragons have been avenged)

oh well, deserved break time, enjoy your own time and kill yourself in tohou or wathever bullet hell you have and we will see ya again facing Freeze, Burst, Cloud, Spring, Slash, Turbo, Shade and Junkman...Good luck!

  • Indeed, I'll probably be taking some downtime with either Pokemon or Bubble Bobble Plus now that that's out on the Wii. That and drawing of course. But MM7 will start whenever I get the recording figured out and feel up to it, probably about a week or so if I don't get bored X)

  • question, Megaman & Bass Snes or GBA version? i mean if you do the Snes Version...

    YOU GET: Full Screen

but if you do the GBA version

YOU GET: CHANCES OF MAKING BATTLE NETWORK VIDEOS

    so...wich version would do?

  • Chances are I'll be doing EXE vids anyway, I think I'm leaning more toward the SNES version of Mega Man & Bass. My main reasoning there is the GBA version has some noticeable slowdown, especially in the audio.

  • The Dragon has triumphed!

  • Took awhile, but yes X)

  • I just LOVE that you used "Turning Japanese". CLASSIC! XDD

Considering the wisecrack you made at the end, I was thinking you were going to use "Mr. Roboto" by Styx.

Still, an awesome video of what I'd have to say is one of my favorite stages in Megaman 6. Good luck on 7!

  • Thanks, hopefully the series will continue to be fun to watch and such X)

  • Something funny I noticed about the first four bosses in 7:

Freeze Man's weakness is the Junk Shield. Cloud Man's weakness is the Danger Wrap. Don't get how either of those work...

Also, Burst Man happens to have TWO weaknesses. Why his predecessor Bubbleman didn't, I'm not sure.

  • Bubbleman actually has two weakness....one being his natural weakness (The Metal Blades) and the other one being the Quick Boomerangs (That in MM2)

if its from all of the games, the bubbleman weakness are:

    Metal Blades (MM2)

Quick Boomerang (MM2, not intended to)

    Shadow Balde (The Power Fighters)

  • Okay. That explains Burstman.

Still not sure about the weaknesses in this game.

  • Metal destroys Ice I guess? As for Cloud Man... that's when the old grey cloud burst? Meh... it was quite comical really to see him trapped inside a bubble and go boom.

Megaman 2 was filled with multiple weaknesses... bosses did not have arbitrary weaknesses back then (Bubble Man takes 2-4 damage to Crash Bombs and Quick Boomerang and 4-8 to Metal Blades).

Also, Slash Man had the same two weaknesses as Burst Man (Scorch Wheel and Freeze Cracker)! Dive Man was the only one in MM4 with 2 weaks.

  • Well done!

  • Thank you ;)

  • Thus ends the NES series. Great job Roahm, you've gone through lots of stages that were easy, tough, and tedious, but you did it! (cue fireworks). And yeah, I don't blame you for taking a break, because there is A LOT of stuff to do in MM7.

  • Indeed, it's been a long road, but I had a lot of fun. Even despite Quick Man, Needle Man, and Bright Man X)

  • I'm sad that you're done with the NES series. Oh well.

The thing I didn't like about 6 was that the character bosses were so odd looking, other than the last three you fought. But the alternating paths were a good idea.

Well, have a good break then. See you when you get back. :D What I'm curious about though is how you're going to do Megaman and Bass. The option to play as both characters warrants a little bit of a change from your usual formats.

  • I'll probably only be doing Mega Man. My friend Kit actually ran through the game with Bass, it wasn't a perfect run series, but still quite fun to watch. As such, I'll probably only be doing Mega Man, since it fits the rest of my series anyway.

  • POO. Bass is my favorite. :D

Lol, that's actually fine. The way Bass' weapon works would probably make it nasty to fight buster only.

  • Not really. Roahm likes rapid fire, and Bass just happens to have rapid fire, along with double-jump and dash. He can't slide or charge shots like Megaman, but eh, can't have everything.

  • do the X games next! There awesome!

    I have all of em!(exept x7 &8)

  • I doubt I'll be doing the X series. I'm really not a fan of those games. I don't like the whole "dark future" thing, the series starts getting WAY too angsty for my tastes, and I just don't find them as fun as the original series.

  • Aww!

  • Okay, whoever marked this as spam, that's rather rude. It wasn't spam. Someone was just saying it was a nice vid, and happened to mention it was the first view. Thank you, ChocoboPet, for the compliment. To whoever marked this, please don't get into the whole "first" argument thing on my channel. I don't get why people do it, but at the same time, I don't get why people get so uptight over it.

  • More-so rude that it was marked -2.
