He told me he had gone to UC Berkely, as I asked to check what his background in psychology was, that may be true, but for anyone, have caution. The truth is within you, not within the many who say they have something to offer you with your ‘spiritual growth.

As he used to state on his site, that was the end of his search. ( that would have had to have been in the early 80’s, evidedently he found out he was full of it then. Perhaps he is now to, as he can’t seem to keep his stories straight. Someone is, or was lying here, yet I am only stating what he told. Be cautious. He was very certain at that time that he knew the 'ultimate' truth, and me being naïve trusted he knew what he was doing.

He told me that he had been a Professor of Psychology at UBC (University of British Columbia), and that during that time, he had become very depressed, that the world was very "plastic" to him, and he had decided to kill himself. He was going to drive himself off a cliff, and when he was driving, THAT is when Ramana appeared to him and told him there was 'only now’ no mention of a bookstore in Toronoto.

Someone is Pathological here. This is interestering, i met Burt in 1999, he was practicing as a hypnotherapist in Vancounver and I was a naive acim student. . I was introduced by a friend because I was told he also taught a course in miracles. When I met him, he told me he had discovored this 'supersentience' at that time. He told me it was a direct transmission from Ramana. He also told me later that he discovered it himself.

If the Supreme Personality of Godhead intended everyone to be all super happy and loving, then I think that's how the world would be. God must be a tad bit demonic as well as being divine, which is a topic many theologians would rather avoid.
