I hunt every once and a while, and I honestly feel terrible when the animal runs around dying and in pain. I get angry at my self for not hitting the head and not killing it painlessly, but that does not stop me from hunting. its a thrill and theres some good pay

However I will say that antibiotics alter the animals intestinal flora which leads to biological changes like increased fungal infections. Then there's ractopamine, a drug given to turkeys in the last 7 ~ 14 days just before slaughter. This drug is listed as 'not safe for humans' is banned in China but routinely used in the USA. There is no wash-out period and contaminates through fecal run-off.

@65DegN Well, I certainly can't call your argument incorrect. Not to mention some animals (or maybe all) like chickens are made to have their bodies grow unnaturally fast, though their skeletal structure doesn't so they can't even walk properly by the end and get burns from the chemicals used to sanitise the area.

I would like to compliment the shot at 1:23 though. I'm no expert by any means, but that seemed pretty instantaneous; so it didn't suffer. At least, not nearly as much.
