  • awesome good job truck allll redneck

  • ahhh..lookin good man ...it will be nice when its done...and funny..i have the exact same fan in my oil burner

  • i will have a update video up this week, we have the roof cap painted white, well its called Ford Performance white, its the same white on the new Mustangs, it really pops with that bright Ford Colorado red, it sure won't blend in, but that's why i got a old truck, i hate too blend in with the cookie cutter crowd, and i figured i would rather sink money into something nice for my first vehicle than waste it on some modern 90s junker or worse some shit box ricer, which seems to be common place :(

  • that will look nice ...will you put some white on the side with the race track chrome as they call it?...yeah stick to your guns and no ricers...good luck with it

  • She looks even better after your first video you made of her!!! beautiful!

  • thanks for the comment! :) its looking better after every hour of work on it! :) and again thanks for stopping by!

    -Brent

  • Thats not a problem buddy! :) keep up the great work! :)

  • wow she is turning out beautiful brent. thats gonna be one hell of a machine..!!

  • thanks for the comment, how is that hot rod of yours coming along? have you pulled the frame out of the forest?

  • again how is that hot rod of yours turning out? have you pulled the frame out of the forest? you sent me pictures of that old Ford frame awhile back, just wondering what your doing with it?

    -Brent

  • Sadly she still sits in the woods. I need to come up with the big three before i can start such a endever. Time, space, and funds. thanks.

  • Alright!!! What brand of paint you using? Base/clear, eh? That's the way to go.

  • from what i can tell, the auto body store (they also sold us the fenders and doors, all the sheet metal) they use Sherwin Williams paint, they have a big cover the earth sign in there store, so i would assume that's the brand, also the stir sticks they give us say Sherwin Williams, i thought they only made house paint, before i walked into there store, i only know of a few companies that make paint, and yes it is base and clear, the red neck furnace fan worked wonders, when we put the clear down

  • Looks BEAUTIFUL! I must say this is going to be one AWESOME truck when you finish!

  • thanks for the comment! :) it sure will be a awesome truck when done! :)

  • Brent, Great color! This truck will stand out on the street! Nice work too.

  • thanks, it sure will stand out on the street! :) and all credit goes to my father, as he is the body man, and painter, i just help out as much as i can, like grinding all the sheet metal work (which is not easy!), and any grunt work! ;) like holding a light when he was applying the clear coat, so i guess i did some of the behind the scenes stuff! :) but he makes it shine! and the body lines perfect!

  • Hey, Brent! Appreciate the update! You picked a great color for your truck! Looks like everything is going as planned! Great vid! :) Jack

  • thanks Jack, more to come, and it was kinda tricky painting in the garage, but luckily we thought to rig up a fan to suck all the fumes out when we put the clear down, so no over spray on the clear coat, the interior should glow now, much better than the black it used to be! and it is coming along, hit a snag here and there, like the local supplier gave us the wrong window rubber, to do the whole truck, so back it goes!, 1 step forward 2 steps back! :) lol lol ah well, its moving along,

  • Yeah..good to get those fumes out...and that's the first thing I do when I get the part..examine to make sure it's the right one! I've been pretty lucky that way..but you just can't let down your guard! :) Jack

  • Great hobby there. That's the best colour for an old Ford truck.

  • thanks for the comment buddy, it also will have the new Mustang white on it, to recreate the old paint job, that you can see on my channel's background, if you ever see the 4 door Explorer Sport Trac Adrenaline truck (they have a blacked out grille) at your local Ford dealer, or out on the street, they come in the same red, it really pops out in direct sunlight!

  • Very nice color Brent though I have never seen this red before in colorado lol. Looking forward to seeing the whole truck done with this and the white color it will look sweet!

  • you might if you go to your local Ford dealer, it seems only the Explorer Sport trac and the Adrenaline version have it, or the 2007-2009 Shebly GT-500's, and thanks for the comment,

  • Id forgotten all about the sport tracs. Our ford dealer is piss poor. Hes a ford dealer but he only has one 09 F-150 on his lot and thats the only new ford he has the rest are used cars that aren't even fords. So basically saying finding a sport trac where I live is 1 in a million.

  • lol lol only 1 new Ford? what a dealer, i know of one of the smallest local Ford dealers near us, and it has maybe 20-30 new Fords, and a few used Fords, and this dealer is small, its in a small town, and from what i see there is a lot of GM fan boys living in that town, but the funny thing is, there is only a Ford dealer in that town! lol lol also that small dealer is maybe the size of a variety store and a small parking lot, not really a lot of land, but still more than 1 new Ford! lol lol

  • oh one other thing, i would love to come in there and buy that 1 2009 F-150, then they could say they have been all bought out! :) imagine telling people that, we've been all bought out! but we have plenty of fine used cars!,,, customer- do you have any used Ford's?,,, dealer- ah.. No, how many people work there? i can imagine the sales men fighting over who gets too sell that one 09 F-150, there all time sales for new Fords is 15, the first 4 where a 65 Mustang, 72 F-100, 76 Pinto, 79 T-Bird

  • i think thats the same red that i have on my danger ranger lol it got painted last year shitty job they did i think it was macco overspray every where grille tailgate cables bumper even still looks good with it waxed mirror finish yea i hate dark red looks terrible good work on teeruck!

  • to bad about the over spray, i say the only way to paint is to remove all glass and all trim and grilles, thus you don't risk getting paint on them, and you can get paint in all the hard to reach spots, but then again that costs more, glad to hear it shines up nice for you,it sure is a bright color! :) i won't fear blending in with the crowd for sure, it doesn't even need this explosive red,a 70s Ford truck sticks out as it is in modern traffic, :) which is a good thing, i dare to be different!

  • looking good, very nice

  • thanks for the comment, it is very nice! :)

  • Nice bright red, very nice colour.

  • thanks, i am very picky when it comes to red, i find a lot reds too dark, and they almost appear like Burgundy to me at times, but this red is nice and bright, and it doesn't cross into the realm of orange which i also don't like in reds, if you seen "I AM LEGEND" that Shelby is the same color, i thought it just popped in that movie scene, thus that's why they choose that color for that car in the opening scene, i think matched with the pure bright white, the contrast should be explosive!

  • Loogs Great, you must be Excited!

  • thanks and i am very excited, it sure is a bright red, if you seen the movie "I AM LEGEND" the opening scene with the Shelby GT-500 racing in the abandoned streets of New York City, that's the same red i got, as soon as i seen it on the big screen, i was like wow now that is the red i want! :)

    -Brent

  • Looking good Brent :) lookin good!!!

  • thanks, i can't wait to get it on the exterior, but i must admit, the credit is all due to my father, he is the master i am just the apprentice, people on here say painting and auto body is easy, and have given me heck, saying ah you should be painting your own truck, those people are crazy, auto body work and painting is not simple, well if you want low quality sure, but my father has done this work when he was younger, and he has painted more cars than he can even count over the years, i haven't
