No Veyron has gotten over 0.98 lateral g's, where the best recorded f1 tops 1.2g's and Corvette just proved it's dominance in their class (check nurburgring times). Veyron is a JOKE.

It's just too bad that SSC did more with so much less, no? Veyron SS has something like 10 radiators, 16 cyl, quad turbo, low skidpad G, worse 0-300 than a McLaren F1, and costs 2.4 MILLION. You can buy 3 Tuataras or 20 2012 GTR's or ZR1's, all 3 of which outperform the Veyron SS in everything except a straight line (Except Tuatara beats it in every department, I'm just waiting for the unveiling of the 275+ top end, it's already proven it's skidpad G etc).

You like the Veyron, that's great, but it's still a shit car for track, the only positive thing about the car is the top speed and 1.5 million in leather. Over engineered, overpriced, over weight. W-16 Quad Turbo with 10+ radiators to achieve just over the same top speed and less overall performance as SSC's V8 twin turbo. And you're excused, the Veyron barely beats the F1 in a head to head race to 300kph, it wouldn't survive giving the F1 a 20kph edge in the *real world*.
@philonetic I dislike the bloody veyron but it has one damn quality (save for drinking gas and ruining tires), which is straight line performance - let's not take it away from it. I'd rather drive a superkart on a track - they're awesome. And since we're here, having your ass 10 cm from the ground in a vehicle with no cup holders, ok make that almost no suspension, vs having it in a lexus/mercedes/veyron/whatever, kind of changes the way 200 km/h feels. @philonetic but do you think the gt3 rs can reach 400kph? i dont think so..... yes the m5gpower, the gt3 rs, and some other car show 400, but their maximum speed is about 360-375 kph but they are tuned and it still can overheat, the veyron could stay at 407kph without overheating, fuel will finish first then the tire and maybe after the engine overheating ut after a long time, and i dont think it is over priced

It's definatly faster than 9ff and Super sport due to the fact that they run 9.113 at 169 miles per hour in the quarter mile and it's a bargin at $119,000 (US) installed!!! @Seventh7Art The extra 200hp won't drop the time from 20.7 to 14.6 - that is a HUGE difference. The biggest problem for the Veyron is that it weighs too much. Remember that the 9ff has the same power as the Veyron, but weighs about 1200 lbs less! Imagine if you had 6 200lb men stuffed into the 9ff - it would be a heck of a lot slower.
@Seventh7Art The cost for the 9ff is about 500 000 Euros. Imagine if they would continue to engineer that car and max it until it costs about as much as the overpriced Veyron. To start off, a PDK which can withstand the torque of a tsunami.

I 've never seen an Underground Racing 1400 horse power Gallardo over there??? It's definatly faster than 9ff and Super sport due to the fact that they run 9.113 at 169 miles per hour in the quarter mile and it's a bargin at $119,000 (US) installed!!! I would even put it up against your famed 9ff GT9!!!!

@Seventh7Art The extra 200hp won't drop the time from 20.7 to 14.6 - that is a HUGE difference. The biggest problem for the Veyron is that it weighs too much. Remember that the 9ff has the same power as the Veyron, but weighs about 1200 lbs less! Imagine if you had 6 200lb men stuffed into the 9ff - it would be a heck of a lot slower.

@Seventh7Art The cost for the 9ff is about 500 000 Euros. Imagine if they would continue to engineer that car and max it until it costs about as much as the overpriced Veyron. To start off, a PDK which can withstand the torque of a tsunami.

20,7 the veyron??..bah..ok the handlin mode..but i saw tests which show times even better than the declarated ones..(16,7s..with the speed-key..but there is almost no difference till these speeds..)...it's clear that there is some mistake..it deals on a car built and born just to have 1000+ hp, instead of these packages that garantee 100km and less before auto-destroyin...chassis aren t built to have 1000h..in a track a stock gt2 would smoke them for example..

Veyron isn't as fast as people think. Yeah it has a fast 0-60 because of AWD, but 0-100 is slower than quite a few supercars out there.
