Hey! Chase, I am Jeetendra from India, and I follow your blog regularly,This is amazing Stuff. basically I am a Photographer, and always had this fascination of shooting Videos, but didn't know that the DSLR can also shoot good HD stuff, Thanks for Sharing your Knowledge Sir.
you my good sir have my dream job. you should write me like a 500 page step by step on how to become you so in 15-20 years i can have a job as bad ass as yours
Hey Chase, don't be apologizing to those who "didn't find any benefit in this video", there's plenty of people who did, like you said. If they are so closed minded as to just not see beyond their eyes, then that's their process. In the other hand, that's why pioneers are where they are, and the rest follows. Simple process of creative evolution, as a human being and as an artist. Thanks again for another VERY informational video!!
@egeardirectdotcom The 2 tracks in the 2nd half of the video are called "Batista" and "Wolf in Sheep's Clothes" by The Blakes, from their album "Souvenir". Good stuff.
@Capesports4 see last post on the latter 2 songs... Wonder what the first one is too..The beat is nice and definitely captures your attention the minute it starts
Chase, u always giving!!! the humble monkey is hot!!! As a note- I have been using my iphone as a digital slate over the past several months w/ my Red and am eager to upgrade to the Ipad as a digital slate. I am writing a detailed step by step guide to using your iphone/ipad as a digital slate and will post it over the weekend. No Ap Needed!!!
It's just amazing the way you and your crew use all the tools available to produce such cool footage and pics, congrats to all of you and thanks for encouragin us to create! btw, cool artifacts the merlin steadicam and the humble monkey!!
@rmstudio sorry that you might not have found any of the info useful. Plenty of others have said they find it useful to know what cameras were used and why, how they were put into place, frame rates of capture and why, other equipment used, etc... If you don't find these of value, my apologies. There's a full refund for you in the mail.
@achaser123 Chase Nothing personal. But give more meat or hard learning facts in this product.. Not so much "Fluff" or "Wow" razzal dazzel music to these and focus on more "Facts" Give these guys the "Reason" why you shoot Big Power Pack light system not just "Oh Look at me I use 3 big power pack and heads to light this" isnt cool. Tell them why you do. To over power the sun to freeze action tell them fstops shutter speeds and why. Tell them why things are done certain ways & not other ways.
@achaser123 to chase 2nd part: Then you will be giving them a value to learning not just "half way telling them how things are done" Then you are really teaching them something not just "Wowing" with flashing lights & buzz words all to a set of newbie photogs that get all "Glazed eyed" over all that fluff.. Give them in depth real facts.. You might have been around long enough to have seen Dean Collins stuff to know he told you "everything" no fluff. Quality of light and how to get it.
Beneficial? Well, um, yeah. If you watch closely you'll see how this particular crew solved problems posed by the shot requirements. You'll see what equipment was used and why. You'll get to see the technical setups and get brief glimpses of what the output was of each. Perhaps you'll look at the environments they shot in and imagine alternate setups and how those choices would have effected the look of final product. So yeah, I'd say there is a ton of information there if you care to see it.
@acteon47 I love it.. I lack imagination? Wow all that and you never seen any of my work yet came up with that answer.. LoL. Sounds more like your tick off I am calling someone out on things for what they are...
@rmstudio Honestly they are doing a great job with their videos and everybody else seems to agree. It's too bad you weren't tickled pink with this one, we all feel so bad.
@jgda9rs Typical response from a newbie idiot that does not know anything yet.. Your comment speaks volumes of who you are.. Let me guess all of between 17 to 24 years of age? New to photography, a complete follow other newbies fanboy, a forum reader more than a practitioner of photography.. Tell me I am wrong.. Actually now I feel relieved that its individuals like this that are the ones that follow this stuff. Just insures my job security.. LoL.
@jgda9rs So wrong that you had stop by my video page and write something so immature and embarrassing of how true my previous statement was of you.... Oh yah I was way off base making the assumption you were all of 17 to 24 years of age and not knowing much.. Right... Thanks for nailing my point I enjoyed your comment on my page it was absolutely hilarious and will actually leave it on my page in all its glory for all to see and have a chuckle.
Great video... Always cool to see the behind the scenes of your shoots. Really like that camera slide dolly thing you used in the end, got some sweet shots!

@oloSS96 But Lightroom 3 requires more from your PC, its way heavier software than Aperture.
