I'm not sure exactly what it is that you are wanting me to look up. Also, if you have some facts, or statistics AND you can give sources, I am happy to hear anything you have to say on this issue. I'm not sure I am in a position to say the government DOES give a shit about anyone, but I would say that health insurance companies certainly do not give a shit about anyone other than their shareholders. Your argument against public option health ins. is actually a pro special interest view.

In response to your overseas statements, again I am not entirely sure what your argument it. Are you claiming that care overseas is worse or better? Either way, the issue we have here is not with the quality of care available, rather the accessibility of the care and the overwhelming cost of care. We are paying far too much for health care, and the first place to look to cut costs should be the $300 billion anual profit being scored by health insurance companies. Since when did the government become concerned about saving the American taxpayers money? Look at the abuses in medicare & medicaid. I don't see any savings in those 2 programs. This healthcare bill is about intrusive government control. Would you rather have insurance companies holding your private records or would you rather have the government doing it? The insurance companies cannot "audit you"! The insurance companies do not have the power that the government does! Use your head & think!

Well I base my observations upon facts. You should try it sometime & look it up. All you have to do is look at past history & see for yourself. The govt. couldn't give a shit about anyone. If you like being controled by someone who is "suppose" to represent you, instead of representing 100's of special interest groups who pay for their elections, then a person should try living overseas. Do you honestly think that the type of care you would get if this bill passes would be better than overseas?

I'm American. I happen to love my country and my government.

It isn't perfect but many people in the military lay down their lives for people like me. There are many dedicated people who work for the government including teachers, police, fireman & health inspectors serve in our federal, state & local governments.

They protect our environment & our children. They give their sweat, hearts & lives for the public good. I'm grateful to them. I trust them more than greedy Wall Street Executives.

Insurance companies decide who lives & who dies.Death Panels.

Insurance companies decide how much of your paycheck they let you keep.

I have government insurance thank God. It's the best medical care I've ever gotten outside of my father's military government medical coverage when I was a child.

I don't trust a for profit company to decide if I live or die.

This guy is talking about health care with a manner and clarity that NO ONE else in congress is using right now. He's not interesting in the party politics surrounding it, he's not interested in whether the dems beat the repubs. He seems sincerely concerned about getting people the best healthcare bill congress can possibly get. Whether you're a liberal or conservative, you have to honor that approach.
