Most people don't know the true story of the famous pepper spray incident. A group of occupiers circled a group of police officers, linked arms, and sat down, effectively imprisoning the officers inside their circle. They were asked several times to clear a path for the officers to exit. They refused and then they got sprayed. They did not get sprayed for nothing as so many people would have you believe.

All races, all nationalities, all eras have musicians who wove webs of protest and comfort for the masses during times of control and oppression. Very well-timed tribute to this song. Thanks for posting. I have this original single. My favorite memory of hearing it on the radio was the DJs not knowing about the false fade. The end of the song would creep up on them while they were talking! American Top 40 always played the retail copies of every song, so Casey Kasem left the fade play as is. Most radio stations liked the novelty of it at first, but opted for the LP version which ended normally or they faded it themselves. Great song!
