  • China can't say a damn thing until they play fair with their currency. They're keeping it artificially low, those bastards aren't playing fair to begin with.

  • CHINA would be Pissed if there's Tarriffs!!

  • "free trade" is not what we want... "fair trade" is. China is ripping off America. The way I see is, China is peddling "economic cracks" with cheap / bad products into US market. The more we buy "made in china", the more we destroy our own economy.

  • We must put tariffs on China products. They have been screwing the U.S. for far too long by manuipulating its currency. China is by far U.S. biggest problem.

  • China, Russia...they all have tariffs. For a Mercedes in Russia, you pay 40% tariffs.

And of course the Renmibi is manipulated heavily.

  • @assoonas1 It is time for tarriffs on all imports. South Korea limits U.S. imports of cars of 8000 but yet we import over a million KIAS. wtf

  • When would it ever be free and fair trade?

  • Funny for China to complain at all considering currency manipulation is a violation of the rules for free trade. They don't have a leg to stand on. I hope our government places the tarriffs on all Chinese goods asap and then uses the proceeds to pay off the Chinese loans.

  • place tariffs on all countries including Poland. this guy is obviously a free market advocate.

  • Every country like the quality of products made in USA, and they are willing to pay the price. The problem is that when they place orders for products to the USA, We ship to them products made in China.

  • quality of products made in Germany, sounds more appropriate

  • when I was in Asia, nobody talks about the US anymore

they see the US as a has been

  • Yeah, we owe the Chinese Trillions of dollars, so let's piss them off!

  • Its a matter of internal regulations, the US is doing right. Every country has its percenteges of how many imports is bringing to the country according to several variables.

Any traditional US person would buy good regular tires for safety, duration etc but many latinos recidents would constantly buy the most cheap tires disbalancing internal economy which is not right. So the measure is ok.

US small biz should buy this tires and re-sale them outside the US as part of a free trade comerce..

  • Thank You! Well put

  • Self interests dictate over common interests,

    A lose-lose situation for all.

Why do Americans keep electing stupid

    people for Presidents?

  • You answered your own question.

Americans are stupid. Just look at a cross section of

TV, this country embodies dim witted, disengaged, spoiled rotten citizens and we all have what's coming to us.

  • Let China pay its people enough to buy its own products.

  • The global capitalists have made it so no company can produce any product or provide any service in the U.S.. Its the Race To The Bottom. Where every worker in the plantant must work for the lowest wages in the plantant. The greed of the corporate leaders have bankrupted the U.S.. Free Market Capitalism unchecked is freedom for the corporations to enslave all of the workers in the plantant.

  • @justaoldslave

Totally agree. These days I would think the highest cost to most big businesses would be the ridiculous compensation the executives make. If workers work for the lowest possible wage why don't the executives. I hapen to think you can find someone for less than thirty million a year to run one of these companies. I'd be happy to step in for a quarter of a mill and spend the year laying around taking vacations for that.

  • a suicidal move of the USA...

  • US needs to get prehistoric and stare the Chinese in the eye and say "look, we made you"

  • at which point China would respond with "thanks and now we OWN you"

  • Reading this morning the Chinese newspapers about

Saudi-Arabia and the U.S.-economy in the 4th Quarter

    ... it is not a U- but a V-type steep slope in the U.S.-eco

... and IF the U.S. has to pay the liabilities back to PRC

... THEN the economical breakdown of U.S. follows ..

  • "China strongly opposes this serious act of trade protectionism by the U.S.," the statement on the "This act not only violates the rules of the World Trade Organization but also violates the relevant commitments made by the U.S. government at the G-20 financial summit."

By taking "this unprecedented action, the Obama is now at odds with its own public statements about refraining from increasing tariffs above current levels," GITI Tire (U.S.), the largest manufacturer of tires in China.

  • @needbailout

China violates the WTO everyday by manipulating it's currency. Since when did they care about following any rules? Is the U.S. the only country that WTO rules apply to. If so I say we kick the WTO to the curb asap. China is fine for toys or i phones but I would rather not share a highway with someone dumb enough to buy a Chinese tire. They have a right to put themselves at risk but not my family.

  • I would have labeled this "testing nutts"
