I watched this around christmas time, and just now rewatched it. Havent gotten to see any of Matts work, but I now think he could be a fine doctor. I just accept that NOONE could beat David. Not on board with the bowtie still, though.

It would have been so much less agonizing if he had come to accept it, but noooooooooooo, the writers had to put in "I don't want to go" and I nearly died of heartbreak.

But then Matt Smith made me laugh, and I'm ok now. Not great. But ok.

So why exactly did the doctor regenerate? Cause of the battle scars from falling from the sky? Or cause he thought he was gonna die inside the glass thing so he set it in motion and couldn't stop it anymore afterwards?

@Mithcoriel He was irradiated. Big amounts of radiation make all your cells break down. It's a slow death, more akin to being poisoned then being shot.

@AStickManProductions It's normal. The first few moments after a regeneration is some kind of transition. The old personality take time to fade away.

Think about it, will eventually come to love the 11th doctor just like the 10th doctor, then he'll go away, will miss him, then another one pops up in his place, then the cycle will repeat. This is what he himself has to put up with.

WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! I'm in hysterics over here. My sister thinks I'm nuts. I only started watching this series like last week and I fell in love with it. I'm in much shock and denial. I'm going to miss all of David Tennant's flagrant badassery. To me he will always be Doctor Who. I'm addicted now and the only cure is to keep on watching.
