DRIFTFACTORY O2 RC Drift 2007 6

Hi, can I please have people's honest opinions as to whether a 1/10 BRUSHED Drift Car (HSP 1/10 Flying Fish 1) would be good enough for me, I haven't really had much experience with RC cars but I'm dying to get one that has enough power to do some proper drifting without spending a lot of money? Will a the brushed motor get a 1/10 car sideways like the videos. Not getting into racing, just want to muck around on tiles/smooth asphalt and have some fun with it! Please comment. Cheers.

is it possible to drift with nitro RC cars OR can you only use electric powered cars (because of there instant power delivery and lack of grip)?

@TroyHR123 u can drift with nitro as well as electric but in my opinion nitro are a pain in the butt there is special tyres that you use that can be bought at any hobby shop

It is completely up to you. HPI's are amazing and they have many hop up parts. But I have a Redcat Epx (it is basically the same thing as an Exceed) and my redcat is amazing. I out drift other people.

I don't but that is a good idea...i think I am gonna post a vid one day. I think you should look at Ebay and get a used chassis from Tamiya or any HPI car that has been used for like 50 bucks. If anything is wrong with it you can just get a new motor and a new esc . I think it is cheaper to get in the hobby this way. And about Bodies....I suggest you get a basher first. Get a body you wont care damaging. And then after you get the hang of drifting get a nice one. Go brushless.

@11kelvs it is possible, there are tyre spark sets, tyre light sets and tyre smoke sets, also if you buy a nitro drift car you can route the exhaust to the tyres, although this gets messy!!!!

I can guarantee you that NONE of the drivers are younger than 17. This hobby isn't for kids, it requires lot's of practice and money. You can never be too old for RC cars.
