  • Hi Chris!

I hope you continue to do more Essex Ghostly Legends.

Highly instructive history lesson mixed with paranormal events.

    Regards

  • You are very engaging presenter, and I have enjoyed watching your shows. The problem with this particular film is that you building up the viewer to the point of darkness, where good meets bad as it where. Then when dusk comes you decide it's too cold and go home! Surely you knew what the weather was when you set off? Also the clip of the banging door...why isn't that the main item? Also there are belongings on the bench in the hut outside (toy plane), who's was those?

  • @Itsalfienoakesfolks The church was well below freezing that day. The plane is a camera plane which my brother flew to get aerial footage - but alas the camera froze over! That`s how cold it was. We have much footage covering this church. Check out the header of my YouTube channel. Above you will see a link to churches. Open that and you`ll see all the videos I have of this church and others:) The banging door incident is featured there along with lots of other good stuff:) Thanks for commenting

  • I live near this church and have been there many many times. I've never seen anything spooky in the church, but my wife and saw a really strange black creature on the land behind it on a bright sunny day last year. It was like an enormous snake, but about 2 feet high and 20 feet long. The church itself has a very peaceful feel about it.

  • Fascinating. Perhaps the "daytime" & "nighttime"spirits have an agreement about sharing the space; who says the dead can't have contracts with each other? Or perhaps the guardians who keep the church safer in the daytime are busy guarding elsewhere at night. Very curious, indeed! Maybe the movement on 1 of the passages was in the direction of the former sacristy, where the priests would dress before/after mass & sacred things were stored. In old churches they are likely to be in that location.

  • "This place is SPOOKY!" For a guy who does so many ghost investigations and regularly connects to spirits and lives in a haunted house, that really means something! lol

  • All the best for 2011 EVERYONE!!! (", )

  • Anyway, merry Xmas to youse all and a safe but prosperous NY!

  • Awesome chris! Absolutely AWESOME!! not enough *'s to give u... (", )

  • I'm glad you went back to the Church were you were overshadowed, as you were able to disclose some of the "whys and wherefores", concerning the investigation.

Thanks for sharing your remarkable experiences with us!

  • Good video! Very eerie.

  • Chris. I like that you have returned to this special place. I've not been there for over five years, but watching your videos about it reminds me of the feeling I had when I first visited. Peaceful isolation, calmness and the feeling of not really wanting to leave. I have not however, spent a night there.

  • 2:28 STOP the video there. Do you see that white shape on the grass?? I can't see what it is, perhaps its just grass but it stood out. Is that what you heard?

  • superb :-)

  • hello Chris long time i know , but as usual another gret video mate...ive been popping in from time to time to see what your up to,,I see your IR light are still working OK ,have you updated any of your Video, sound or lighting kit in the later videos?

  • I know the other kind of spirit you need Chris....a shot of rum! It won't help you ward off any ghostly nasties but it would keep you warm ;-)

All the best for Christmas, & a better year in 2011 for you & the rest of the team; cheers.

  • i think the EVP at 36:10 is saying "stand too" its a armed forces saying, when enemy are see/heard, you shout STAND TOO, seeing as romans/civil soldiers are known in the area, i would say thats what it is, but i could be wrong,,,good vid anyway chris, may take the famliy there for the day!!

  • This is one thing I do miss about the UK, old Roman towns and forts.

  • Interesting site Chris. Thank you for sharing. Still trying to figure out how I could possibly sense things from a video, and one that was taken a while ago. Odd.

  • 20:20 EVP sounds like "Too thin" to me.

29:30 there's a deep gruff sound that doesn't seem to be you or the camera guy. That's not Sean, is it?

I sensed something at the door at 21:41 so I listened for EVP. Heard "They're apt/off to kill them all/off", then you walked back in after confirming nobody was around and sensed something at the door like I did viewing remotely. Weird. Now back to the show. You've got something at 21:48 too. "No walking on the *something*

  • I find these videos most interesting and would love to join someone like yourself in a ghost hunt but don't think I'd be as brave as you but would certainly give it my best.

  • 684, if only it could reveal all of its history. Wow. Satan's lot is active in our world now so his influence there does not surprise me. Great historical report from my ancestral home of long ago times. Your vision is a valuable asset to in the investigation. Good work for both of you.

    Dave

  • @PhsycoBean Thankyou. I try to show that the paranormal isn`t something to be afraid of, and exploring it is more straight forward than some others pretend.

I`m very pleased that I have been able to inspire others to try it for themselves:)

  • Fascinating stuff as always Chris. The architectural features on the exterior wall of the church are clearly indicative of the building being a remnant of a much larger structure. Do you know how much larger? Some great EVP from a clearly powerful location. Thanks to you (and Matt) for sharing.

  • @Hummadruz Thanks Dave:) The church as I described was originally in a cross shape. The top and side wings are long gone, and I believe also cloistered arches at the sides. It is a unique relic of early Christianity, and is classified as a Grade 1 listed building. Even now, it still evokes that lost age.

  • What a spooky church! The masonry work is amazing. Another great video by Chris!

  • @b1p0l4rt Thankyou:) It`s a lovely old place with so much history!

  • Great video!! Keep em' coming my friend!!

  • @gamma21285 Thankyou:) I certainly will!

  • I absolutely adore the way you don't spam stupid music and flashy edits. Makes your videos look a thousand times more professional than the retarded "ghost hunter" TV shows.

  • @CidSilverWing Thanks for that:) I try to make these forays into the unknown straight forward and as informative as possible:)

  • Really enjoyed this video Chris, nice shots....I'll start editing our joint investigation very soon.

  • @SpiralInvestigations Cool Marq. I have to complete my end too mate:)

  • Fantastic as usual!

  • @Tessietots Thankyou:)

  • One of the most interesting investigations so far and so many questions to ask...

    Thanks again Chris..
