  • That man, Wang Ziping was a great Muslim teacher. He was part of the Naqshabandi spiritual school of Islam.

  • he was muslim as well...china has a diversity to it that no one likes to admit

  • This guy rules. He's like out of a movie!

  • My teacher's teacher was the daughter of Wang Ziping, Grandteacher Wang Jurong, and my teacher is Mwalimu Bomani Magharibi

  • @Damon3700 I've seen some short vid of your teacher, and he seems very skilled. I hope he puts up more!

  • My sifu is Grace Wu (Wu Xiao Gao), granddaughter to Wang Ziping. It is strange to learn this art in the middle of Kansas, but I am quite happy to have the chance to be one of her students. Actually I see it as a great honor. She has told me that, although their footwork looks laid back and easy, it is a result of very strong conditioning of their bodies. They seem to float. Green Dragon is correct, and it took place in the 1960's.

  • By the way notice that he never had neither his daughter (the late grandmaster Wang Jurong, in the vid) nor his granddaughters wore / wear the veil, or a burka.

  • the father cannot force a burka on their daughters head its the girls choice

wuts the point of even saying wut u just said are u just trying to say something stupid

  • Vepost: fathers certainly can do this in moslem countries - burka, veil, it's all the same, and it's got all the same meaning. And now even in European countries they murder their daughters if they want to live like westerners and refuse the tradition. The so called crimes of honour. Unlike these illiterate fanatic criminals, WZP was a tolerant and civilized person. He understood religion was a private issue and a personal choice.

  • u are being too stereotypical if one muslim father does something like that then he isn't a muslim

plus WZP was a great muslim and if he would see wut u have wrote he would have been very disappointment because WZP and every other good muslim who loved the prophet knows the the prophet wives also wore the hijaab and this isssue doesn't concern you or anyone whose ego gives path to destruction

  • Honour killing is not allowed by religion. Just because some backwards Muslims do it, does it mean that Islam allows it?

Just because backwards Christians commit murder, does this mean Christianity tolerates it?

  • @sohaibx WARNING THIS IS OFFENSIVE: it seems to me Islam is a wonderful religion and it is some areas of the world that are the problem Cough middle east cough to pakistan cough cough. Chinese muslims are cool!

  • @Rohan4basu Ya know, there IS a difference between Muslims and EXTREMISTS. Extremists are usually Muslims that were taught HERESY. There are normal Muslims in the middle east. BTW I don't practice Islam. XD

  • What's your point? It's not his choice what they wear. It's their's. It's a matter of personal choice to wear it or not.

  • It is immaterial whether Wang Ziping was a moslem, a buddhist, or neither of both. He became famous as a Chinese patriot and an outstanding kung fu master and bonesetting therapist. Being a Hui it is most normal he was a moslem. This did not prevent him from teaching his arts to non-moslems.

  • Wang ziping was a great chinese martial arts master. He was known for parcticing Tan Tui everyday accroos a soccer field. His Kwan Do weighed 80 lbs and practiced with it almost everyday. He lost only once in his lifetime to a practicioner of the Elephant Style. Only a few know about this legend of the Chinese Arts. A real martial artist.

  • The legendary Chinese Muslim Martial Arts Grandmaster, Wang Ziping (1881-1973, died at age 92)

Situated one hundred and eighty kilometers north of the Forbidden City (Beijing), Cangzhou is part of the Hebei province, and is home to the Hui. The Hui are Muslims. One of the things the Hui embraced with passion was the Chinese martial arts tradition.

  • Which style is this?

Why are the performers turning their backs so often during the sword sequences?

  • The core of human decency lies within our great masters.

  • As a kid, i learned Wu-shu under Madame Wang for about 4 years. My only regret in life is not staying for longer. She will be missed...

  • R U SERIOUS ?? UNDER HIS DAUGHTER!!

  • Yes, she taught in the Houston institute for Chinese martial arts and medicine. One of the greatest people I've ever had the privilege of knowing.

  • how ould her fther leap more than 3 meteres from a standing position from the ageof 14?

  • @darksean99 Do you know if she is a Muslim?

  • @alhittin We never got a chance to speak on religious matters. I don't think so, to be honest, as the building had a distinctly Buddhist flair to it. Though that could be the influence of Dr. Wu or any of the other sifu who taught there.

Regardless of religious beliefs I don't believe that she would like the petty insults going on here.

  • Unbelievable see this master. Thx

  • Another lesser known fact was that Wang Ziping was an expert on Tramatology and created Therapeutic exercises based Traditional Chinese Medical principles.

  • Shear brillants. To my beloved teacher Professor Wang JuRong. Love always

  • Wang Ziping was famous for his Kung Fu. He lived in an Era where foreigners often came to China to challenge and humiliate her people. Wang Ziping was one of the Chinese Kung Fu masters that met those challenges and restored pride and dignity to the Chinese people and the Kung Fu community.

He was famous for Cha style, Tan Tui, Shaolin, Chinese wrestling, and Qing Long Sword.

  • who is wang ziping, for those of you guys who know?

  • Why did you cut off right before the Tan Tui?

  • Wow!! I agree, He definetly was a legend for that era!

    You have anymore?

  • Unbelievable! I never thought I'd see footage of Wang Ziping.

  • nice swordfight
