well im a guy and I think Take that is amazing. There's no comparison to NKOTB because take that write all their songs and they aren't all hey baby i love you crap. The new album actually has amazing lyrics and songs about politics and conspiracies. They've been so much bigger than NKOTB except America, and their last tour was EPIC.

@LizzieDoodle16 There is no debate in terms of dollars and cents. TT grossed $185,175,360 in 7 sold out shows, NKOTB grossed $35,365,360 in 83 shows averaging 65% capacity (Wikipedia). Artistically speaking, many people who hate boy bands love TT (like me) because they've grown up to become respectable artists, even mocking what they used to be, and what NKOTB still is... a cheesy boy band. BTW, it's silly to try to discuss the relative merits of a group you've never heard of.

@LizzieDoodle16 TT is popular around the world, just not America. Some of them live in America so they can go out without being swarmed, they don't want to ruin that. If NKOTB were doing well why did they choose to share their money with BSB? Even their solo album was full of guest artists. They clearly don't think they can do well on their own. What records have they broken? Selling New York concerts in 3 minutes is not a record. TT crashed servers and phone lines selling their last concert.

The difference between take that and the others boybands is that take that have known like grown up in music terms while the others like nkotb keep doing the same cheesy songs that they did in the past, with the same hot dancing they did which was good in the past in his 20s but not now in his 40s, is just an opinion, and i like old nkotb classics songs

Interesting discussion. I'm American, never liked boy bands, but I like Take That since they've gotten back together because they aren't a "boy band" now. They do a bit of choreographed dancing for nostalgic purposes last tour they wore clown makeup during that section.NKOTB at this point are not as popular as TT,that is fact,NK had to combine with BSB to sell tickets.TT didn't even need Robbie and TT that write songs that are popular now. Love whomever you want, but TT is relevant to music now

Woah woah! Wrong! BSB had to combine with NKOTB to SELL tickets. Do your research. NKOTB had a successful come back. In 3 minutes, they SOLD all their tickets in new york. And I don't even know who the hell is TT. NKOTB is very much still popular.

I said you could like NKOTB, but as someone who is very much aware of both groups my only point is that Take That is VERY VERY popular now and writing and performing new music. I've done some research and NKOTBSB is doing one show at the O2 which has a capacity of 20,000. Take That did eight nights at Wembley with somewhere around 80,000 in the audience every night. You probably don't know Take That because they never broke America. They don't need us.

@cjaye76 First, my point was correcting your point. Secondly, no duh - I don't need your consent to love NKOTB. Like that has to do with anything. It's funny how you make TT sound more "popular" when they are only known in Britain. While NKOTB is known in different parts of the word, THAT is a fact. I've done my research, and NKOTB are breaking records. Maybe TT has success in their own country, but unlike NKOTB, they aren't doing world tours. And that is for a reason.

@TheConverselover1994 Oh and also, I saw TT's 'Progress' tour 2 weeks ago on opening night, and I was front row- it was the best night of my life- They had a 21m tall robot that moved across the walkway to the B-stage in the middle of the stadium which cost £1.5 million to build. And, I'm going again tomorrow! :D

But Take That are well known in Asia and Australia but they do really big-scale shows, and its hard to take a 20ft robot across the globe ;D As far as albums are concerned, they sell so many where they do, that I don't think them breaking in America really matters- every country has a different sound, and TT obviously isn't what America wants :P

@TheConverselover1994 I wasn't 'dissing' them- I said where are they now because I haven't heard anything about them that is recent :P And Robbie said that about the 90s, when they were all immature kids, but in the stuff they have done recently (which has been a lot more successful) Gary has admitted he was controlling the first time round and he has changed now :L In fact, on the Progress album Gary only has one song he sings lead on :P

@dance207 Well FYI NKOTB reunited in 2008 with ALL 5 OF THEM NOT 4, 5 and they made a great album and went on a 2 year tour for it because it was huge they reunited, they got off tour a little over a year ago, and they did there last show at RADIO CITY MUSCAL and collaberated I Want It That Way with another AHmazing boyband called The Backstreet Boys and that turned into them going on tour that started in late late May and they made an album with them, and I also think NKOTB are working on

Since 2005 when they reunited, they have had 4 number 1 albums, along with lots number 1 singles and 4 SOLD OUT tours- One tour was so big they couldn't even take it out of the UK! Also, the connection that NKOTB fans have with the group is beyond music, shows, tours etc...it's something that is soul to soul. Even if they do not come with a new album or tour for next few yrs our love for them will NEVER die down. The fans know it n the boys know it. The things they do for their fans goes to prove that they really value n care bout us. Our love for each other is unconditional n forever!!!
