@DASJOTUNHEIM666 you took me back to the days of my youth. I had a '73 RX3sp before anyone knew what they were . I've had a few really nice cars,a '72 Old's 442 comes to mind .Out of all of them I wish I had my 'ol RX3 back , I called mine the Z - Killer,a Datsun 240Z never stood a chance, but nobody knew just what the Mazda was. Looked like Grandma's grocery getter . We use to take it to the local airport and fill it up with avaition fuel and go lookin' for Big Block Chevy's on Friday night .
That looks like an extremely quick car. It seems like today you could throw a rock and hit a 300 (real) horsepower rotor car but 20 years ago it was a different story. My '76 Rotor Truck had a bridgeport 13B and an RX7 5-speed and goading some chump with a 396 Chevelle or 455 Pontiac into a race was like shooting fish in a barrel. It was a solid 13 second car, but hardly anyone had ever seen a fast wankel. 10 years prior to that VW bugs were the same way.
@duanedragon2 it was da sh*t back in '79 - see comments. Mine was stock as a rock minus the rev limiter. Fish in a barrel ? You got that right . The fun part was nobody knew what they were . I was 19 years old and also had a Kaw 500 , 3 cyl/2 stroke - noboby knew what that beast was , either . I'll never forget the look on the faces of rich kids w/ a new TR7 or a Mustang 289 after the old Wankel SSSSMOKED 'em . Sure wish I had that 'ol car back .... too young & too stupid to realize what I had .
wished i was in those days where comfort was not a priority...i'd get the Rx3..miss my Rx2..but have a 1st gen Rx7 with at TII motor...still the sedans are cooler
wiCKED VIdeo!!!! :) if it aint a rotor.. it aint a motor!! m u n c h m u n c h pistons for luncH!!.. and lucky last motto for today!! no muff to tuff we dive at fiVE :)
i like so much your project man,Who`s tunnig that car? it`s needs bigger ports or if it needs necesary do a semmi-periferal engine you got everything to run low 8`secs in 1\4mile and got like 700hp..try to make a costume air intake manifold with more injectors..and use a electric water pump!!! Good luck with the car!!
not so sure about that, considering this car is far from stock and the modifications it has put it on par with the american cars as they were when they were released from teh factory, but still... you gotta love that sound!
What port work is done? =)
