PLZZZ take 2 and a half minutes out of your busy youtube schedule to check out my channel. I just uploaded my firstest vid and I either want you guys to enjoy it or give me feedback on what I could improve; or you can find my house and have me burned alive...if it's bad enough for someone to want to do that, then I deserve it.
I have worked on and driven a lot of cars and trucks, Toyota has always surpassed my high expectations. I was T-boned in a Camry by some idiot doing 60 in a 45 and I came out without a scratch. As soon as I had the money I went out and got another one. I haven't driven a Toyota yet that hasn't impressed me, there is a reason they are the second largest car manufacturer in the world. To all the people who insult Toyota, get your insecure butt back in your crappy vehicle and leave us alone.
Its true, theres always memories that can be found when you own a car for so long. I have had a corolla for only 3 years and its amazing the amount of stuff me and my friends get up to :P
Here's my story; Bought 3 of them, a '96, '99 and an '07 - First two were great, 3rd one was traded in 4 months and less than 3500 miles. Bought a Truck (at the time) and a Tacoma too, great vehicles, then I bought a Sequoia, it lasted much longer than the '07 Camry, but I think my Toyota stories are nevermore.
It's nice that Toyota knows the importance of a NAME. American car companies are moving away from good old names they have stood by for years in terms of new names or for numbers. People have loyalty to these names!
i have rented this car several times in the last few month alli can say is even with a car full went from la cali to phoenix before i had to fill up most of my life have driven toyota time for me to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@realmadridzidane5 Honda ain't worth a shit when compared to Toyota. After 100k miles transmission problems are constant problems in almost all post 1997 Honda models. I have been buying and selling cars for almost 4 years and I have come to find out that Honda's are more problematic then Toyota's. I NEVER hear Toyota owners complain about their cars.
Every automaker has cars that can relate to this, not just Toyota. you see 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's cars from American car companies all the time. You've seen the Chevy commercial for their pickup trucks and how most of them have more than 100,000 miles on them and some even more. It's how you maintain the car/drive it.
My dad bought a 94 Camry back in 2000 with 94K miles when I was 10 and now in 2012 I still drive it with 305K miles on the original engine and transmission. Toyota is truly unmatched by the other automakers.
@PeterGriffin4200 Yes with all these fancy cars coming out it's easy to forget that the best cars, the ones you love, are the ones you can keep forever.
@PeterGriffin4200 Really, There are Chevy/Ford Pickup Trucks with more than a million miles on the original engine and transmission. Unmatched my ass! It's all a maintenance game. Sure I'll buy a new toyota, but it'll only last me twenty five thousand miles because I never change the oil. and then I would have a right to call it poor quality!
@Fuchi450 Bullshit I have never seen a Chevy/Ford with million miles on original power train (trust me I deal with cars). Toyota is the only automaker that I have seen that can handle anything you throw at it and it doesn't matter how many miles on it, like I said before Toyota is unmatched by other automakers.
i had an 86 camry. I broke down 7 times from 89 to 105k miles...
i broke down in traffic on the W. side hwy
i broke down twice and it made me late for work
i broke down on the thru way
it wouldnt start at a rest stop 45 miles away from home
i broke down on the george w. bridge
while driving up a long straight hill, the motor overheated and that was it!!! afterwards i bought a 1984 nissan/datsun maxima and i drove it untill 287k.
@WhiteIceMan3 yes it was, but my sister had it since it was new and she had it maintained regularly. ive had it since 2001 with 89k on it and it lasted untill 05. i have been driving for 35 years and have owned many cars, but the 86 camry was by far the most frustrating
@cheffington999 maybe driving attitude and have you maintained it well? we had a tacoma for 15 years (the thing was like top gear's if you know what i mean) and our camry turned 11 last year.
well idk how i got here but imn more of a ford (American classic) guy than a toyota (cheap and scary because of all the recalls and not allways reliable) guy
I used to own a Camry. I had a '94 Coupe. I was involved in a very bad accident a few years ago. That car honestly saved my life... Keep up the great and innovative work, Toyota.
In 2001 i bought my Camry and sold it in 2011 with over 200k miles with solid condition and the person who got is in college and she has over 230,000 miles and still running good. Me personally just purchased a 2012 Camry, its not an eye catcher but i love it
thanks Toyota for doing the best job and did i mention our whole family owns Toyotas
We have owned 4 Camrys, 1 Celica, 1 Yaris, and 1 4Runner. I've had alot of memories in my Camry's but one of my favorite is that my late grandmother bought me my first one. Currently driving a Camry and 4Runner and hoping to trade up the 4Runner to a newer model soon.
I love how they show there older cars in real, used condition; paint flaking, dents, imperfections, eta. This is the greatest Toyota commercial yet.
BTW, my '84 Corolla had over 200,000 miles, only parts that were replaced since new were the alt, water and fuel pumps, and head gasket. Still ran strong the day I sold her :(
as i said many times, the interior looks sooooo ugly and cheap..and the dashboard is the same? come on!! Never use that whiteish speedometer dashboard ever again if you are not a Rolls Royce..
This story is awesome. No matter what happens this guy and the Camry just keep coming back for more. I hope my Camry can make it to 411,000 miles as well
most of the time 07+ that I have seen 2007-2010 SE's have the V6 if they have duals but this is a 4 Cylinder like you said only register to 140 V6 SE's are registered to do160
