@miniwestall @miniwestall That was the part in the scene where Melchior (Jon Groff) enters the stage. As he enters, he sees Moritz (his best friend who commits suicide at the start of the second act). Melchior puts his hand on Moritz's shoulder as a sort of acknowledgment. It's a very sweet, wordless gesture and it doesn't hurt that Moritz is easily one of if not the most popular characters in the musical.

because usually the producers can only have a certain cast on for so long. and i know for a fact that lea michele left because she made the gig for glee. she didnt exactly WANT to leave, but she had no choice. i dont know what happened to jon.

@misplacedfreedom actually, Lea has said that she didn't know what she was going to do when she left. I think she left because Jon was leaving (he had something else lined up). She didn't get the role for Glee until 4-5 months later.
