He mostly uses vinyl since hes beatjugglin' and beatjuggling really wasnt that possible with CD players or traktor/serato in the past. But now technology has stepped up and made beatjuggling with serato / traktor actually possible. :) In time i bet even Kentaro will be using mostly mp3's. Its simply so much easier to just grab your laptop and go to the gig and start playing.
Seriously all you vinyl freaks are extremely stupid :P Wake up and come to the present day this isnt the 80/90s anymore:P
j0be did you do a Drum n Bass mix? Small world man I downloaded a DnB mix by you I think the artist is "j0be" and it was like 3 years ago you're a DnB lover too man? I have again this track and I think when you posted it IIRC you said it was like "straight down to earth pure DnB back to the basics" something like that yeah?
@jonjescabar there's no irony here. most of your reply post is in error. i wouldn't put fly in a "greats" category. the point IS it really does matter what you use, how you flip it, etc. because it takes MORE skill & creativity doing so on real wax than it does on some mapped out custom mp3 adventure. i can take anyone's "library" and smash it on the ground. i can get wax replaced easier. but u know sheep will most likely continue to follow the flock to try to be the flavor of the month one day.
@"jonjescabar" maybe he's using it for some of his set, but you can see him going through records... why would he keep switching the wax? why would he put diff. label markers (cue points) on all the wax then? most of these guys spend half the time going thru their hardrive looking like robots... em?
Is it just me or are turntablists that compete in today's DMCs nothing like the way they were during the late 90s early 2000s? Kentaro is a musical genius!
words can never express how good kentaro is. he has takn turntablism to a whole other level the guy cn juggle any beat hip hop, reggae, house, drum n bass, etc.
sure ofc u are right, but dont forget turntablism include all music styles that are out there anyway... :-P hes just have that special awsom musicality ;)
I NEED the track at 8:20 (and around that) Its fckin perfectly mixed.

This guy is a GENIUS 'Tablist!
Would also love to get him booked locally for a show!
Kentaro should come out to nor cal, in the land of the redwoods.

Kentaro is the most creative turntablist of all time. My opinion also. Like to get him to Iceland to play here
