The feds don't lock you up like regular people if you are terminally ill, you do get special care if you are arrested for any reason. An argument for marijuana is "but it doesn't kill you", but something can be dangerous or bad for you without killing you. Most physicians including my parents are against Medical Marijuana. It is already legal in many western states and doctors are writing perscriptions for those who do not need it. They are selling perscriptions. It has gotten out of hand as is. They feel Marijuana should be illegal.

The feds don't lock you up like regular people if you are terminally ill, you do get special care if you are arrested for any reason. There are so many conflicting studies on its medicinal effects that it comes down to ones personal beliefs on which side is true. First, I will say I know what getting shot is like, and I generalized that getting shot in the leg won't kill you, because in most situations with medical help and missing an artery, you can live, but that wasn't the point. An argument for marijuana is "but it doesn't kill you", but something can be dangerous or bad for you without killing you. Thanks for making my point for me. It is NOT the purpose of government to act like your nanny and try to protect you from actions you choose to inflict upon yourself. The Constitution never allowed for the federal government to regulate the substances that a citizen chooses to put into his/her own body. This is why an amendment was required for alcohol prohibition.

this country needs to move right past medical marijuana and just legalize it fully. make it like cigarettes and alcohol. the only current dangers of using marijuana is the extra shit that some dealers put in it. make it an industry, with standards and regulations, and the dangers disappear.

You have to look at places likke the netherlands that have legalized it. There is an epidemic of junkies and rampant heroin use. the US govt is afraid that if they legalize weed there will be even more 'hard' drugs coming into america. I believe they should allow the states to de-criminalize it to allow casual users more freedom, but hinder large scale opertaions from popping up.

Most physicians including my parents are against Medical Marijuana. It is already legal in many western states and doctors are writing perscriptions for those who do not need it. They are selling perscriptions. It has gotten out of hand as is. They feel Marijuana should be illegal.

I really liked Huckabee but I disagree with him on this. If anything it should be left up to the states and leave the federal government out of it. Why should people be punished if they are in compliance with their state's laws? I agree with medical marijuana, yet at the same time there needs to be some regulation. I wouldn't want everyone and their dog walking up and down my street smoking it. Plus if people smoked it around kids that could be a bad thing too. That's just my 2 cents.
