I found a trick to make this boss beatable without luck. Learn to jump and throw your weapon at the very last possible frame of animation before your feet hit the ground. It will ensure that you can hit the baby dragon at least once per jump, just in case Singe shoots low too many times in a row. Very difficult to pull off consistently, but it's my best strategy yet. I'll have an LP of this game on my channel soon so you can catch a glimpse of me doing it. I died a couple times.

In that case, this game must really be fucking hard in the US-version.

This kinda makes me think about whether I'm gonna buy myself a PAL- or a NTSC-NES.

I'm in germany, but I don't really care about whether I play my NES games in german or in english... but it's probably expensive to import the NTSC games.

Anyway it's probably a great thing to beat this boss in his hardest form.

There's a difference between difficult and broken. If the boss requires luck in any way, shape or form, then the boss cannot be considered difficult, just unfair.

All non random bosses are easy when you learned its. Randomness make just boss fights difficult to beat. You will need all reaction time and you never can,t know how boss attack next time.

Yes and this boss is super unfair but you will need super fast reaction time and a lot luck too.

Holy shit I got to the last boss finally, and you weren't kidding. It's broken. It requires absolute 100% luck. If he shits out a baby dragon and shoots low too many times in a row, there is simply not enough time between jumps to crouch down and shoot 2 axes at the baby dragon before it gets to you. It's not even a question of reflexes, you're just fucked if he shoots low too many times in a row.

Actually on PAL or JPN version its tons easier. He/she actually quite easy on european PAL version and its quite similar on JPN version. NTSC version boss is unfair and nearly 100% luck required.

The reason the PAL/JP versions are better than the US version was because the US version was made first, so they edited the PAL/JP versions after the US version was released.

The first boss in all of my RPG games are more difficult than this, and those are cakewalks. I'm not doubting he's hard, but to say "Hardest Boss Ever Created" is a really big overstatement, and I cannot express that enough.

@metroidmaster88 Although I agree with you, you only have three motions of movement for this boss: attack, duck, and jump. Yeah the reaction time for the buttons may be slow, that still doesn't make it extremely difficult.

About RPG games. Most bosses are really easy with good enought level ups. RPG games bosses didn,t requires any real skills.

@metroidmaster88 Well my RPG's don't rely on what level you are, they base solely on skill due to them being real-time battle. I only have one turn-based RPG, and it's Final Fantasy X. Even so, only a few RPG's that I know of require high levels, but most of the time high levels are not required, strategy is what matters most. You can beat a boss with low level characters, it just depends on your battle strategy and how you approach them.
