  • 0:19 Magnificent!

  • 0:59. OMG the best squealer ever. Nice horn show too Sounds like NS's spartan cab SD70s.

  • 1:45 love it!

  • is 1:45 a K5LA?

  • @rubenisapanic Yes...

  • This was so awesome to watch! Thanks for sharing!! :D

  • 0:19 is my favorite

  • EXCELLENT!!

  • 3:46 was the best

  • Very nice.

  • that was freaking AWESOME!!!!!

  • What train was at 1:03 really beautiful train horn

  • @cd949604 F59PHI #453

  • @Amtrak798 Thanks :)

  • @cd949604 That's actually a pretty fouled horn... Some of 'em sound pretty good though!

  • @Trainz35 yeah there was alot of them too but 1:03 was my favorite and this other one i think it was a amtrak dash 9

  • @cd949604 Amtrak doesn't own Dash 9's; Dash 8.

  • @Trainz35 oh lol well they look pretty similar but thanks for the correction

  • @cd949604 The most obvious difference is the 4-axles on a BW32-HW (or something close to that) and a 6-axles on a Dash 9.

  • @Trainz35 oh alright i see now

  • At 2:37, that was 3751 right?

  • Is there some international signal for "shave and a haircut..." or are you holding up a sign? Nice assortment of clips. Thanks.

  • @RustyRazor2010 man i wish, but no. All or most are just luck of taping the right train. Just a usual wave and it happens, but depends on whos driving if they want/know how to do it. Thank you

  • Thumbs up if you think Amtrak crews are the best!!!!!

  • Excellent, love the video and the sounds oh and the ending, really cool, well done. Mick.

  • What's with the amfleets?

  • Why does the cars at the front while the engine is behind? How can the driver control the train in this arrangement?

In this arrangement, the aero-dynamic wil not be very effiicient.

  • @applesweeter it makes it easier for the train crews so they don't have to constantly turn the train around. It's called "Push" mode when the engine is in the back. The engineer has a control panel in the rear car to control the Engine. (same in the engine) but yes non aero-dynamic at all.

  • @applesweeter Well, reading the Caltrain boucher from about a year or two ago it said push is just as efficient as pull

  • @Amtrak79mph

Howvever, the shape of the train is not too aerodynamic.

  • Great Shave and a Haircut at the West Coast, nice, =)!

  • due at 2:21 is the world"s best shave an a haircut.

  • NICE!!!!

  • nice shave and hair cut! 1:35 |=-]

  • thats how train says hi and by honk honk!!

  • Great videos.

I never knew that amtrak had a steam whistle on their Locos 2:36 :)

  • I love the K5LA but it seems to me that Amtrak engineers only know the Shave and a Haircut horn pattern XD. I love this video though.

-Proud owner of a Nathan K3HA

  • They have the best K5LAs!!

  • even with out the horn and those cool lights, i will still love Amtrak

  • lol the horn at 3:55 sounded like crap

  • @SuperCoolDMan I laughed so hard when I heard it.

  • One of the best Amtrak videos I have ever seen!

  • why does this f** train always make this annoying noise!!!??!?!?! There is no need !

  • Actually there is, to warn people that there is a train coming, sometimes crossing gates / bells aren't enough.

    Small-Minded idiot.

  • he looks like that guy from Ax Men. Um what was his name?......Melvin Lardy or something like that

  • Great horn action but geez show a bit more of the consist rolling by before transitioning to the next clip!
