if qiyam ul layl is the same as taraweh . than y dont you call isha and Magrib salaah qiyam layl. it shows you dont know much , and just picked up a dictionary. they are not the same. they have been given different titles by muhadetheen.

All hadeeth that mention 8 rakaats is Qiyam layl .

I don't care how much this guy talks, can anyone get away from the overwhelming consensus of every single Sahaba (ra) and the four Imams of Ahlu Sunnah? Let us ask this zalim, did the Sahaba not know these hadiths? what about the Imams, did they not know any of the Hadiths? Did anyone know the Sunnah better than the Sahaba? Anyone who doesn't obey the Companions doesn't obey Allah's Messenger and anyone who doesn't obey Allah's Messenger (saw) doesn't obey Allah Most High.

Allah k Rasul s.a.w. par toe tahajjud Farz thi aor tahajjud ki 11 rakatain parhtay thay pura saal...

toe taraweeh toe AP s.a.w. ne parhi hi nahi... unhon ne toe sirf tahajjud parhi thi aor pura saal parhi...

toe sirf ramadan mein hi kion? pura saal Allah k Rasul ki sunnat par amal hona chahiye...

masoom dost. AP s.a.w. ne 3 din ramadan mein MASJID NABVI mein Tahajjud parhi. Pehle din kuch sahaba shamil huye. Dosre din kuch aor sahaba and 3rd din more sahaba... 4th din AP nahi aye Masjid mein...

AP s.a.w. per tahajjud FARZ thay aor wo 8rakat tahajjud ki parhte thay PURA SAAL!

taraweeh pura saal nahi hoti!!! HAZRAT AISHA says k chahay ramadan ho ya GHAIR ramadan ALLAH k Rasool 11 rakaat parhte thay... 8nafal + 3witr

Allah k rasool ne 12 rakaat parhne ka hukum nahi diya, magar un ki bohot taqeed ki... sahaba ka amal ye tha k wo ramadan mein 12 nafal aor phir 8 rakaat jo ALLAH k rasool parhte thay tahajjud mein, wo ye sab parhte thay aor HAZRAT UMAR(4th khaleefa rashida) k dor mein 20 rakat as a taraweeh ki jamat hui...

bhai ik do ahadees sun k faisla nahi karna chahiye.. puri ahadees ka mutalia karain toe baat samajh aati hai...

dekho dost... beshak nafal hi hain... magar sunnat se TARAWEEH sabit hi nahi hai... SAHABA ki sunnat se taraweeh sabit hai... baat toe ye hai

beshak 4 parho , 2 parho, 12 parho, 30 parho... buss is ko RASOOL ALLAH s.a.w. ki sunnat samajh k nahi parho coz Rasool Allah s.a.w. ne taraweeh nahi parhi, unho ne tahajjud parhi jis mein 3 din sahaba shamil ho gaye...

btw ye kehna bohot hi ghalat hai k SAB 20 parhne walay speedain martay hain. Meri masjid mein 1.5 hours mein 20 rakaat parhatay hain. bohot si aisi masajid hain all over the world jahan araam se parhi jati hain 20 rakaat (e.g. makkah, madina are the famous ones).

Kuch aisi ahl-e-hadees masjids hain jahan ECHO itnaa hota hai k kuch samajh hi nahi aata... Lekin you cant imply a small faction doing wrong on every one generally. Tauseef sahab ki buri adat hai. Ap is se gurraiz karain

Hazrat Ali once said... HAQ pehchanna ho toe batil k teer ka rukh jis taraf pao wohi haq hai!

Aj is Fitne k dor mein chhotay chhotay maslon par baat karne se ummat ka faida nahi (e.g. rafayadain, taraweeh etc). Haq baat toe ye hai k PURI dunniya mein koi aisi jagah hai jahan Shariat Qaim ho? Asal baat toe ye hai k Musalman Kufr ki ghulami mein reh raha hai aor JIHAD ka sabaq bhool giya hai jis par Allah ne 444 ayat utari!

Meaning of a hadees is that "follow my path and my khulafa". For muslims Khulafa's path about islam is also a sunna. On the base of this hadees all 4 Imams (shafi,hanfi,maliki,humbly) said that 20 rakat taraweeh is sunnnat.

Even in the days in which the Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) did not pray in congregation, Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (RA) has related: Verily in the month of Ramadhan, The Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) used to pray 20 Rakats and Witr independent from any congregation. Ibn Taymiyya has said in his Fatawa Ibn Taymiyya (vol.1, pg. 191):

"It has been proven without doubt that Ubayy ibn Ka'b (Allah be pleased with him) used to lead the Companions, during Ramadan, for 20 rakats and 3 rakats of witr. Hence it is the principle (maslak) of most of the Ulama that this is the Sunnah, because Ubayy ibn Ka'b led 20 rakats of prayer in the presence of the Muhajirin (the emigrants) and the Ansars (the helpers) and not a single Companion repudiated it!"
