Hey Jay! =) I am the one of the first group of people who have seen the film "Shortbus" in Korea in 2007, when John Cameron Mitchell was in Seoul!!

It wasnt officially released then, it was like a special screening session in film festival but actually that film festival was made only for shortbus... ;P

didnt know that you were in korea(even tho it was just for a short time, its gooooood),

The same kind of story occured in France, about 10 years ago, with a movie called "BAISE-MOI" (F*** ME), a violent story involving scene mixing violence and sex that disturbed many prude association. They wanted the movie to be X-rated. This, of course, would have prevent it to be properly released. So, after trial, they created the "Interdiction to minors under 18" rating. SHORTBUS was rated this way.

I read your FAQ with interest and admiration for your views. My first and only "mainstream" exposure to you and your music has been on LOGO. To avoid being pigeonholed, it would have been better to NOT submit your videos to that channel. Your writing style, phrasing and word choices are very much informed by your affection for men. Your role in Shortbus reveals your sensibility, since it involved genital contact with males. Sorry man, but your album isn't being purchased by frat boys.

Congratulations! Just finished reading your faq. Well, yeah, you've got a point. So do the other guys. Resonated strongly with your thoughts about romance. You and Shakespeare agree too. In my advancing age it has been driven home to me through experience that I need a balance in my life between all the genders. It isn't irrelevant what someone's gender identity is, but it can't be front and center either. But I like gay ghettos for getting away from 'the dominant culture' and need them.

I wish I could agree with you koolzies, but until gay people have the right to NOT get fired from their jobs for being gay, visit their partners in the hospital, marry the person they choose to spend their lives with and are no longer beaten and murdered, well then, it is a big deal and, sadly, probably will be for a long time. woof, that last sentence about the pink triangle is a little rough. after the nazis were defeated and the concentration camps were freed, the gay prisoners, those wearing the pink triangle, they were the only "group" or "class" of people that was sentenced to death after being freed because it was still illegal in Germany at the time. that triangle has a much more intense history than the flag, and I have respect for it

I've made a video about how fucked up the "gay" community is and how truely we only have ourselves to blame for many of our problems because we are the ones dwelling on our sexuality. I do see how my video was hateful. I was just so sick of being treated differenty because I was gay. i felt like some gay people are partly to blame because they single themselves out. It is one thing to be proud, and another to be obnoxious. I took that video because I talked to sister unity who advised me to because it could be taken wrongly by others, and I agreed with her completely. I don't appreciate beingjudged by you because you don't know me and you never saw the video.
